I am obviously not that devoted kid. He puts lots of pretty pictures in his threads and then ensures to be the first to reply to his own threads. Neither of those are my style. Far too much work to input pictures when a simple link will suffice.

syd, i think you are missing the irony of you posting a thread like this which is in WD's wheelhouse, and at the same time you have been pretty hard on the kid about his posts, including posts about apparel.

A Braylon Edwards book?  I wasn't a Michigan fan until after his time at Michigan. That said he comes across like he's the world's biggest douche since I don't have any fond memories of him.

Is it just me, or are there others who don't care who the manufacturer of their M gear is?

I mean, I certainly prefer the Nike designs over the Adidas ones. (And let's not get started on the "That's not maize, it's highlighter yellow!" argument.) But if I've got comfortable UM t-shirts in good condition that have the Adidas or the pre-Adidas Nike logo on it (and I do), what's the point of dumping them just to get t-shirts with the Jumpman logo? Is being completely up-to-date that important?

To each his own, I guess. But as long as the "M" is on the front, I don't care whose logo is, too.

That's a fair point. I had a ratty old Champion UM shirt that fell into that category. I wore it only for dirty jobs, so that I could fly the colors while mowing the lawn or cleaning the attic. By the end it was so thin you could read through it.

When UM switched back to Nike a few years ago, I was in Ann Arbor for the Art Fair, and found that M-Den and Moe's had their Adidas gear on sale at "Get it out of here!" prices. I must have bought half a dozen. I wear them with pride, and couldn't care less that they have three stripes instead of a silhouette of MJ.

But I passed on the ones in highlighter yellow. You gotta draw the line somewhere.
