I really don't give a rat's ass about the NBA. I love college basketball but am nauseated by the professional game.
Cool.
you should care enough about at least the 3 michigan players that are up tonight. matthews incredibly unfortunate injury, and hoping the other 2 get drafted despite what we all know in our gut is/was not good decision-making on their part.
I care about the Michigan players and wish them all the success in the world, however, I don't think any of them will be drafted high enough for guaranteed shots in the leagues. I'll check-in on it tomorrow, but there is no way in hell that I am wasting three hours of my life watching the draft!
i won't waste the hours either (no TV helps), but your original statement was a bit more all-encompassing in your contempt for the NBA. i get it, i don't watch either, but i still want the kids to do well.

Beilein gets his pick and roll PG.
Along with his dumpster fire of a team and the headache of being second fiddle to his players.
He's pretty good but he's not as good as Garland. Always take the BPA. You can figure the rest out.
Not sure what's worse.....the NBA draft or Mississippi State vs Louisville amateur hour telecast.
It boggles my mind why people start threads about other sports - knowing many people like those sports - only to bitch about said sports. You either gotta be a complete douche, a total dick, or both in order to think the posting-bitching approach is cool.
I love the NBA. To me, the NBA and (probably) soccer has the best athletes in the world. It’s truly a beautiful game to watch, especially in the playoffs. That sucks - for those of you from Michigan - that you have a chip on your shoulder about the Pistons. I hope thy figure things out and do well in the future...but - guh - get off your fucking horse about the NBA, and enjoy the talent that these guys have.
MClass87 - You’re a douche
Understand your point but man, take an edible and relaxxxxxx!
Damn . I started drinking. No brownies in the house.
It's ok.....the internet can't hurt you.
Dude, I started the thread. I like basketball and the NBA. My complaint was about how dragged out the draft is, which it is.
My bad. I’m angry right now. Been a long week of work, quite a bit of business travel, and my flight home this evening has officially been cancelled (meaning, I’m stuck in a crappy airport hotel for the night).
Apologies to you and cheers.
Interesting, I would have thought Buddha to be more chill
Well, somehow this thread has become popcorn eating worthy!
Oh, is someone eating popcorn in the gif???
I know...I couldn't take my eyes off that Knicks fan either!
Im still watching after 4 hours waiting for that right tit to pop out
I am so worried she is going to kick that drink.
As a Knicks fan I have a bad feeling about RJ Barrett. I mean, I know its a KNicks draft pick but still...
He was the only logical pick there
Somehow despite the results the Knicks have mostly drafted decently the last decade or so. Not excellently but far from the terrible way they handle everything else.
I'm a Knicks fan too and unenthused with the pick but it seems like a solid one. Just bummed about Zion (always a long shot) and everything else about the offseason optimism falling apart.
Agreed, Porzingis was obviously a great pick, Ntilikina hasn't worked out as well, but seems like he will stick in the league as a solid defender, Dotson has been a rotation piece for them, Knox seems like he has a bright future, and Mitchell Robinson was probably the steal of last year's draft
There's one reason and one reason only that the Knicks are a dumpster fire: James Dolan. Worst owner in the NBA. Scratch that. Worst person on the planet.
I've been a Knicks fan since the days of Kenny Sears, Richie Guerin and Nat "Sweetwater" Clifton in the 1950's, but during this Dolan administration, I've been watching fewer and fewer Knicks games every season and my interest in the NBA had dwindled rapidly.
If James Dolan isn't the "worst owner in the NBA", then he's close to it. It has reached the point where over 5,700 Knicks fans are following a Twitter account that combines Dolan with a former Manhattan resident, using some familiar language to make Knicks fans think that Dolan is "Making the Knicks Great Again" and some hashtagged items like #MKGA, #WeedTheGarden, #MSGFirst, #BuildTheBench and #RepealTheTriangle. I'm getting old. I know these guys are young but they seem like they are 14 - 15 years old in their interviews. But they will grow up fast in the NBA.
Amazing
I'm loving the draft, but my small bitch is all the trades, that aren't trades. So put this hat on, but that's really not your team kid. The NBA has to adjust this somehow because it's irritating AF.
Nothing is binding, is it? What stops a team from fucking over another by backing out of a deal that hasn’t gone through yet and perhaps drafting someone they don’t want? Other than a bad rep, obviously.
I was wondering the same. What if someone unexpectedly fell that they loved? Do they say thanks, but no thanks?
Not if they ever want to trade again with any team in the league...
It's a little ridiculous they can't just make the trades official now.
At least it's not the dysfunction of the NHL where teams will find out the season's salary cap number somewhere in the middle of the draft.
Oh man...the Pistons might actually have Doumbouya fall to them!
He's there if they want him.
....and there he is.
i see tyus battle ranked #78 on cbs. no doubt in my mind that he would have been a sure first rounder had he come to michigan. and who knows, maybe we win a title. dude lost out on millions for quick fix.
Oh shit forgot about that guy. Agree with you.
Cam Johnson at #11 is possibly one of the worst picks I've ever seen
Darko, Anthony Bennett and Hasheem Thabeet say HI!
At the time of the draft though, those picks at least somewhat made sense. They just turned out poorly. Cam Johnson is a 23 year old unathletic tweener who has a very capped ceiling
And Thabeet goes on.
I was nervous Detroit was going to take Langford, so happy he was off the board. The kid from France has been getting some solid hype, and I like them taking a chance on a guy who is like Pascal Siakam.
Damn, Doumbouya is just 18.
Awesome Pistons draft an all-defensive athletic big, that cant shoot--why have one dinosaur when you can have two!
Evidently, his mechanics are ok and his shot has improved some. Hopefully, they can coach him up.
