Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman signs with Cleveland Cavaliers' G-League Affiliate
Per MLive:
Former Michigan guard Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman has signed a contract with the Canton Charge of the NBA's developmental league, known as the G-League, his agent told MLive on Thursday.
There was no word in the article on whether he's fully recovered from his broke foot, but it looks like he's back to playing. Best of luck Rahk!

I hope he shines and gets to where he wants to be. He's one of my favorites: "Cool as the 'Ice Man' poster before it'd start wrinklin'."

Excellent to hear!
Awful luck on the injury timing but MAAR is going to have a shot to end up in the league. He's older but polished and there frankly aren't enough twos who can move well without the ball, shoot and provide secondary playmaking.
If he doesn't stick I expect he will have a great career overseas if he wants it.

Awesome to hear. Him and Robinson are surprising me with their staying power in the NBA/near-NBA circles.

Being that this is MAAR's first year not suiting up for Michigan as a NCAA student athlete, your expectations for his NBA "staying power" must have been none what so ever?

In fairness, these were kids that, before Michigan came calling, were going to spend their college careers at Williams College and Appalachian State. MAAR was a late 2 star flier recruit that we only went after because we had an unexpected spot open up. His Hello post was filled with a lot of "Beilein can't recruit" and "Why are we going after these guys after we just went to another Elite Eight?" So, yeah, I'd say this is beating most people's expectations.

one of my favorite Michigan athletes of all time. He is #1 in program history with 144 games played

Awesome news for Rahk

Michigan Legend! Came in with no stars. Left with banners trophies and rings. Well deserved!

I'll never forget that game in East Lansing his freshman year where he hit something like 18 in a win. Sparty didn't know WTF to do with themselves. Apparently if you went to Michigan and they didn't recruit you in basketball, you can't turn out to be a good player.

When he got the news, MAAR was thrilled!

That was randomly one of my all-time favorite endings to a game.
"Oh shit, two foul shots to win or lose the game! This could be really bad...

Great, we got this."

Good for him. By far the best name in his class.

Outstanding kid and he showed up for the Villanova game.
Too bad Duncan got hosed by the refs.

Good news for Ham! Cavs are going through somewhat of a rebuild, maybe he can get some time in the league if he plays well.

I think he legitimately could find a niche in the nba. Hope he plays well and moves on up to the league.
