This has nothing to do with adidas. They will still be the supplier for the upcoming season. It likely has more to do with the "generic" numbers they had last year not being worn by prominent players this year for football, like 98 for example. And I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a new basketball template this season.

Tinfoil hat, but I think it is because adidas is fully transitioning Michigan back to actual Maize and not highlighter Maize.

Just based off of the 2015 gear released thus far.

Add that with the shade of the helmets last year being a completely different color than the jersey numbers/pants and Michigan defining their official shade of Maize as #FFCB05 a couple of years ago.

I emailed MDen at 5pm about this and will make a post tomorrow if that actually is the case.

To me, it doesn't matter if adidas changes Michigan over to actual Maize or not. I'm extremely positive that Michigan won't re-sign with adidas, so I won't be buying any adidas Michigan gear* unless Michigan re-signs with them, of course.

*exemptions include championship gear and the annual football shirt.

I purchased one myself - they will not be here in time for Motor City ComicCon, so I will unfortunately not be sporting Michigan gear while my wife tries to do a passable Doctor Who or whatever she's going to do for this one. Like someone upthread, I went with #77 for the history of All-Americans who wore that number.

Because this is the guy who's on his 18th account (which I can tell be his obvious posting tendencies) that always talks about buying shitty bootleg jerseys from China.

I work at the M Den at Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi and all jerseys except for the #1 & #4 football jerseys are on sale, with most being somewhere around 50% off.

Based on this MDen solicitation I just received, it seems logical to conclude that today's meeting with Nike went well...

"To make room for the new 2015 merchandise, we need to move out all the remaining 2014 jerseys. Most jerseys at all M Den locations are on sale for up to 50% off. Jerseys from just about all sports, Adult, Ladies and Youth will be on sale. Come and check out this great opportunity at all M Den locations or at www.mden.com"
