So Jimbo Fisher absolutely fleeced A&M, he's gonna make $76 MILLION dollars to NOT COACH.

We remember how insane it was when Charlie got paid not to coach ND...Jimbo is gonna make 4 TIMES THAT.

It's funny that TAMU made this list twice.  Why aren't people angry about this?  It's clear what TAMU is doing.  Each year, top 5 recruits and paying players out the ying yang and not a peep from the NCAA or sec.

and not a peep from the NCAA or sec.

Actually the SEC did step up. They told Jimbo and Saban to shut up when they were accusing each other of paying players and then even fined them for airing the conference’s dirty laundry. At least the SEC realizes the value of not having teams ratting on one another.

Such a good point.  SEC would not let a media hit job campaign or rival schools slinging mud to tarnish their brand.  Think what you will of Sankey but that man understands it is his job to protect his conference.  Big Ten looks like a clown show where the inmates are running the prison.

I read an article recently (don’t remember where exactly and not going to try to find it) where the author believed Delaney would have handled all of this behind closed doors. I think most commissioners would have. But Pettiti is so green and, as been said by others, equates sign-stealing in football to sign-stealing in baseball because he doesn’t know any better.

You are conflating two issues, Catch. There's no reason for anyone but Aggie fans to be pissed at dumbass boosters financing the multi-million-dollar retirements of mediocre coaches who brought them only participation trophies from the Beef O' Brady Bowl. A&M bagmen paying players under the table is despicable and worthy of worldwide condemnation, but it ain't the same thing.

I don't see him getting that high on the list. If I remember correctly, his buyout would have been on the order of $80M. He was fired for cause, though, and I frankly don't see him getting more than $10M out of a settlement or a court victory.

And let's be honest: the circumstances of his firing don't really lend themselves to sympathy.
