Romero is the 1st 4-time All-American in program history.

What more can be said? She's in the top-3 all-time in regards to athletes at Michigan. All-time.

And how awesome is it that Blanco made 1st team All-American as a 1B? She was brought here as a pitcher primarily.

Blanco was CLUTCH at the plate this year and had no slumps. Overshadowed by the Sierras, she was an enormous part of the offense. My favorite was when she got hit twice in a row, wasn't given the free pass, and then after a long conference at the mound blasted the next pitch over the fence.

not sure exactly what you mean here:

"

"

Please expound/explain.

Are you saying only 2 other U of M athletes were 4-time All Americans and that she's one of those 3?  Who are the other 2?

Or are you making a subjective claim based on your own opinion, even though neither you nor I nor anyone else on the board ever had an opportunity to see, for instance, great Michigan athletes such as Wille Heston.

I'll hang up and listen...

Romero is the only 4-time all-american in program history..........she only plays softball........

Top-3 athlete all-time here IMO. She has dominated her sport since she came here.

Her first collegiate home run was a grand slam in only her 3rd game. What a sign of things to come.

I feel sorry for those who haven't watched her entire career. People are going to speak of her 70 years from now like they do Tom Harmon. I'll certainly tell my kids I got to see her play.

single-sport athletes against multi-sport talents such as Ron Kramer  or the Elliott brothers, Pete and Bump, who all not only lettered but starred in multiple sports?   Or how about even Denard Robinson, who not only starred in both football and indoor track (as a sprinter), but also has arguably the most famous and wonderful smile in Michigan History?

No doubt Romero is one of the greatest softball playersever, not only at Michigan, but also nationally.  And arguably one of the top ten and most celebrated Michigan athletes ever, especially if she can put a bow on her career with a National Championship ring.  But comparing athletes from different sports and ranking them against each other is the ultimate apples-and-oranges comparison, IMO.

Right now, I just plan on enjoying watching Romo and especially all the rest of the seniors as they finish their Michigan careers, hoping to see them all succeed and have it all end with a National Championship!

Lets hope all the batting slumps are over and the Pitching comes out DOMINANT....If all the bats are clicking at the same time there is nobody in the field we cant beat!

Not directly related, but does anyone have a clue what "lobby dobby" means to this team? It's a phrase the girls always post on IG, but does anyone know the origin/meaning? I'm sure it can't top the pizza chomping of last year, but I'm still curious.

At quick glance, looks like LSU has two on the list, and Alabama and Oklahoma each have three. Going to be an intense couple of days. Hope the Hutch and her ladies bring their A game.
