I have been liberated from the horrible clutches of the dreaded two-headed-huge-ego'd Valenti and Foster show since earlier this year. I just couldn't take it anymore. Instead, I bought a new car with a six month Sirius satellite radio trial....AWESOME!! Taking the place of Captain Spartard is the excellent sounds of early 90's alternative on Lithium channel 24, effin' great. Now they have a 24 hour Pearl Jam channel! Brings back memories of seeing them at Crisler in '93. Yes, I no longer listen to any of the rhetoric that spews from the mouths of rubes! In fact, the only time I listen to 97.1 is when a Wings or Tigers game is on. *sniff*sniff*......aaaahhhhhh the sweet smell of freedom!
One more thing.......Valenti.............is..............a..............Douche...........!

Why do people still listen to him? I'm not even in the state, but when I visit I absolutely change the station as soon as I realize Valenti's show is on. The guy's an idiot, an unabashed MSU lover/UM hater, and a guy with limited football knowledge outside of the state. I honestly think we can just create a sticky here listing the biggest idiots in the media and save the 1's and 0's spent complaining about them.

He is an arrogant jackass that is so clueless as to what actually goes on outside of Sparty nation. I can't listen to him anymore, he completely turned me off the ticket all together for the fact that idk how he still has a job. He talks down to absolutely everyone, no one is as smart or talented or successful as him.... according to him. He acts like everyone just annoys him soooo much, it's like quit your damn job then if no one is "on your level" as far as any sport goes. Not to mention he is completely against any Detroit sports team. Sorry Mike not everyone can be like your beloved Yankees and Giants... GO BACK TO NY!! sorry for the rant, I just can't stand that man.. so as a lot of other people said, don't listen anymore.

I listen to 97.1 because the alternative is dry and boring. Yes, Valenti is a douche who spends every single day dogging UofM every way he can, He does it because Michigan generates calls and interest..good or bad. MSU is 10-1 but if he talks strictly about MSU without bashing UM..that segment will last about 5 minutes before people lose interest. So long as you understand that completely.you can just laugh at the things he says and not care. I just wish they stop putting the biggest idiot callers on the air..those bandwagon fans piss me off more then Valenti

Valenti is the ultimate forum troll, only he has his own show in which to troll an entire area.
Its not just his takes on UofM that troll, its his takes on everything Detroit. He hates all of our teams and everything about the area.
It must suck to live somewhere where you hate EVERYTHING.
