Michigan vs. Rutgers time and channel announced

Submitted by Michigan Arrogance on May 15th, 2021 at 9:34 AM

Who: Rutgers vs Michigan

What: SOFTBALL!!!!!

When: 12noon & 2:30pm (approx) EDT TODAY

Where: Big Ten Network

Michigan won 3-0 last night in the series opener.

Rutgers is... not good at softball. At all. Should be a sweep of the 4 game series this weekend.

Michigan wrapped up the B10 title and autobid to the NCAA tourney (no B10 tourney this year).

NCAA field should be announced tomorrow at 9pm on ESPN2. IMO, Ann Arbor has a 60-70% chance of hosting a regional next weekend.

I forget who is who on the hockey podcast but the one who posed the question, “Is the B1G champion better than the 8th place SEC team?” in relation to them getting to host or not really made it seem quite ridiculous that they may not. Seems very unlikely there are eight teams in one conference that are better than the best in another.

hosting is great, but i wouldn’t get hung up on it ... i have a strong feeling they will give michigan the 16 seed just to have a midwest host for travel and they will have earned it in my opinion ... but be careful what you wish for, the annoying part of that is then they will face the #1 seed in super regionals if they advance. traveling to a 13 or 14 seed might not be that bad...
