Michigan is playing right with State, and played well enought to beat Purdue last week.

State may be more athletic, but Michigan is as talented with their shooting and defense. This team is much better than I thought they were, and they are figuring out how to paly together, even in a hostile place like Breslin.

Take away the biased refs, and Michigan probably still has the lead in this one.  And I didn't even bring up all the bunny shots M missed at the rim.

Poor officiating (expected), MSU shooting 57%, UM shooting 36% and we're only down 3??? If you told me all the above I'd think we're down 20.

and still complain about the calls not going his way. Can't set a pick or defend the post without a call. Sparty can hack and grind and it's just good defense. What a joke

1. Officiating a joke. Not surprised, any of you? What is more surprising to me is how little "home cooking" we get at Crisler.

2. Mo came to play. Need to run pick and pop more at top. Make them defend it.

3. Livers showing first signs I remember on O of being out of sinc or rushing stuff. Couple bad plays from the freshman we haven't seen all year.

4. Missed too many opportunities at the rim. Gotta like the fact that only down 3 and we shot 37%ish and they shoot 55%ish.

Gotta stay out of foul trouble on Z and Mo the first 5 minutes of 2nd half.

I don’t have a strong feeling in our ability to pull this out. I’m not sure why. We are playing well. But it just doesn’t feel great

is a good thing. They are really helping out at both ends without sacrificing back end defense. The difference has been transition scoring and points off TOs. Got to make more shots at the rim when they get there.

Gotta love this media halftime narrative.

1.) "Is Purdue the biggest threat to Michigan State?"

What a spit in the eye for the game we played earlier this week, its outcome, and the game we're playing against MSU right now.

2.) "MSU 57%FG, UM 37%FG...yet UM only down 3."

We missed bunnies at the rim, which were good shots, and a few of MSU's misses drew fouls (illegitimately) which redact the misses from their field goal total. Ntm, we were leading for almost the entire half up until the 8-2 run that last two minutes.

3.) "Michigan shooting 5-12 3pt"

The classic Beilein cliche, that Michigan is only as good as they shoot 3's. We have only three more made 3's than MSU, so a total of 3 extra points if the shots weren't behind the line.

We're dominating offensive rebounds and the turnover margin, but missed bunnies at the rim. Don't even get me started with the officiating hypocrisy for moving screens and calls under the basket.
