Michigan vs. Florida: Uniform Snowflakes

Submitted by LebronJames on
Wasn't too sure how these would look. I was pleasantly surprised and it looked like Michigan out there. I wouldn't mind seeing these again in the future. Go Blue!

Everyone, myself included, hated the all yellow look. Visceral dislike. The most common remark was, "I hope I don't have look at those uniforms for the rest of the season". Anecdotal, but that's the response from 25-30 people more at less at random. I assured them that traditional uniforms would be back next game. I hope I'm proved right.

Loved them! I thought it was a nice change of pace. It's difficult with a school that carries such tradition to make changes that people will like (see helmet sticker whining), but I enjoy new things. You couldn't help but see our guys on the field

I thought they were decent but they need blue belts or blue stripes like the white ones from last year so the pants don't look plain and so they break up the color a bit.

I would prefer these over the white jersey/maize pant traditional road uniforms. My Fav list would be: 1. Home uniform, 2. All white road, 3. All maize road and 4. White/maize road.

Score and great performance aside, I absolutely hated the uniforms.  HOWEVER, I am completely of the camp that my opinion matters somewhere around zero and if the players and recruits - first and foremost (fans who buy them secondarily) - like them, then I am fully in favor of them.  Whatever helps the program since ultimately changing uniforms once in awhile isn't going to hurt tradition or anything.

But yeah...  not nearly as pleasant to look at as our normal uniforms.

EDIT: first double post waaaahhhhhh.  Also, I'm 28 so there are "younger" fans who aren't in favor of the uniformz.

They'd have looked hideous with blue pants.  White pants might have saved this uniform, though.  It still wouldn't have looked like Michigan, but it also wouldn't have looked like someone got overly enthusiastic with a bottle of French's mustard.

Liked them more than I thought I would even before the drubbing began and I was ready to make fun of them mercilessly. Wouldn't mind seeing them again as long as we win. But the second we lose wearing them, burn them.

But don't see myself buying one. And I'm also not that big of a fan of the traditional white away jerseys either...too generic.

Couldn't help thinking entire game how they would look with blue pants.

The helmet's the thing.

I like yellow uniforms on principle, and I think these weren't bad as such. And since it's a neutral site game this is the logical time to try it.

But Michigan looks better in its other uniforms. I'm not upset and they looked ok, but it was a step down.

Better than every single one of the Adidas alts, though.

Based on the pictures I even told coworkers that I thought they were a joke. However, I have to admit that they were not nearly as bad as I expected for the game. I might even go so far as to say I liked them. Now, if they had inverted the helmet colors I would have rioted.
