Dickinson's out. Darn. Really going to have to earn a win today.

People who raked on Jones established some new stupid lows in the annals of Mgoblog stupid. Guy is a wonderful college basketball player.

Amazing how down low there is absolutely no contact on Ohio St on defense but the same damn play and Liddell gets a foul call on Diabate. I forgot about Brunk being first team all American defense!!!! Fuck this home cooking bull shit

Liddell has gotten two calls now on offense. M has been fouled atleast 6 times on shots and nothing. The refs hate M. It’s so bad even the other team I bet is like wow, we’re getting all the calls.

Refs, to each other: ":You know, if we don't start calling stuff, this game is going to get out of hand." "True, and you know Michigan's keeping their mouths shut after the Howard melee." Calls Diabate for Liddell bump on the way up...

At this point in the game, you know that the refs aren't calling this game tight or consistently.  Just gotta play hard and hope you're not on the wrong end of the next "but now you call it" play.

I would love Houstan to at least be competent on the road. I don't think I've ever seen such drastic shooting differences between home and away for one player.

Someone will have to explain to me why Johns minutes dont go to Twill (when possible). One cant wait to be done with basketball and the other has 2+ years left and can be our 3 and D player we so desperately need.

We used to make fun of how OSU doesn't gaf about their bball team, but that atmosphere destroys Crisler this year.

What an annoying year for Michigan bball.

Welp. Game about to get away. All the fouls osu has got away with and they call some off the ball bullshit on Jones?  Be nice if Eli or Houstan showed up at all on offense

The fact they called a foul on Jones while he's running and get grabbed and they've let OSU get away with everything kills me.

I think there's a reason Beilein teams looked better in the tournament, they were allowed to function with better refs. While other conference teams, looking at you MSU and OSU losing to 15 seeds and Iowa, struggled.

Horrible finish to the half.  Brunk is one thing.  Not making a fucking basket is another... granted the officials decided to insert themselves.  I hate them so much.  I don't care if it's "hard"

Eli is having a disappointing game so far. 1-5 from the floor and 0-2 on 3s. You’re supposed to be the veteran who steps up when the best player goes down…

So demoralizing. Play so well for 18 minutes, frankly outplaying them significantly (but even score-wise because of better luck with not great looks on shots), and then just a rapid collapse in less than 2 minutes. I feel like we give up the fastest runs of any team, so frustrating.

finished half incredibly poorly, defensive breakdowns right and left.

however, given how terrible we've been at the start of games, and given that hunter is out, if you told me we'd be down 7 at half i'd say, 'well, could be a lot worse and we are certainly within striking distance'.

we can't let them go on another 8-0 run, need to keep them close, but give credit to the guys for playing their hearts out so far in a terrible place, with officiating that has been equally terrible.

Stick around.  Close gap early; hope that our shooters start shooting.  Less HD and with the shooting we had n that half, I'd guess is was a 12-15 point deficit.

T Will can’t and shouldn’t be guarding Brunk. He’s gonna play close to the basket all game and that isn’t where T Will needs to be guarding a guy that size. They wouldnt expect Ahrens to guard Hunter all game. Play Faulds on Brunk. Johns and Diabate need to alternate out.
