Michigan Monday is UP

This is something I look forward to every year.  Tony does a good job of keeping things enjoyable to read while giving an OSU biased analysis.  Even when Michigan is Hoking things up, I can usually laugh at the things he types up because the content is so relatable.  Apparently Tony has again moved platforms as he's no longer on Buckeye Scoop but is instead on Buckeye Huddle now.  Here's the link for his most recent edition (Posted on the 5th)

I'm sure they're somewhere.

I keep posting the instruction because I learned from someone else's post. However, mine was a long explanation.

THEN a few weeks ago, someone called the link icon a paper clip, and I changed my long set of steps to one line.

Wish I could remember those two someones, to thank them.

Y'know, sometimes getting clever means outclevering yourself.

His QB / boxing comparison is pretty close to inside out: "This is like having Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali fight each other and then rather than declaring a winner afterward, you tell them that you’ll need to see both of them do some shadow boxing in order to figure out who won the fight."

No, this is like having Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali shadow box through fall camp, and then actually fight someone (even if not the same someone).

ALSO, going from MGoBlog to whatever that toe-shoe (tOSU) site is called is like going from color to a black & white.

Yeah, the Glass Joe's are frustrating.  I feel like we won't really know who our QB is until we face a close game against a high level opponent.  They, whoever they are, has to perform under pressure and win in a contested game.

Until that moment, most likely against a rival, everything else is just an off broadway production.

You'll notice the tone on these things always change depending on how the teams looked.

1) OSU didn't look all that impressive so there isn't a ton of cocky gloating to be done.

2) Michigan legit looks like a top 5 team and the only real criticism is that our OSU-beating B1G-winning QB might not be as good as his backup, which quite literally the whole world knows (its been running non-stop on repeat since the Harbaugh/NFL story ended).

3) This was as nothing-burger as a game could get. Michigan didn't light it up quite enough to focus on that but they didn't stink it up enough to focus on that. Even our discussions here have been pretty mild, only a few posts, fewer replies to the post-game and d-ufr, fewer post game snowflake threads (usually seen on Sunday/Monday), etc.

There honestly just wasn't a lot to talk about and even less shit to talk than there has been in 20'ish years. This game sucked, the non-con sucks this year, the only reason CSU, Hawaii, and Conn are even remotely interesting is because Michigan only plays 13/14'ish games a year.

buckeyehuddle.com normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Chrome tried to connect to buckeyehuddle.com this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be buckeyehuddle.com, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Chrome stopped the connection before any data was exchanged. You cannot visit buckeyehuddle.com right now because the website sent scrambled credentials that Chrome cannot process. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.

OK. My only complaint is by now people should really know how to post a link on this blog.  It's not hard. Simply paste the link in the add link button in the top left of the box.  Done!

The boxing analogy is so off. The boxing match would be the game and the shadow boxing would be practice. Anything to discredit Harbaugh, even if it means you publicly show the world how illogical you are.

What Does It All Mean?

It means that when your offense settles for three first-half field goals in the red zone against a Colorado State defense that finished last season by giving up 50 and 52 points to Hawaii and Nevada, respectively, it’s okay to go with a different starting quarterback.

Sums it up pretty well.  Sometimes an outside disinterested opinion cuts through the fog of argument.

I'd have to go back and look at more of his previous writeups, but didn't he used to include a fear gauge about how serious/nervous Ohio State folks should be about Michigan in the lead up to the game? I seem to remember something of that nature.

LOL... "Cade McNamara doesn’t scare defenses. JJ McCarthy does. The problem is that McCarthy may also scare Jim Harbaugh, which is maybe why they have him run the ball as much as he throws it."

Nothing said is inaccurate or needlessly nasty. "JJ scares defenses but also may scare Harbuagh" is a perfect summary of why this is even a battle to begin with. We'll see.

It's just nice to read this and for the first time in forever have it not be filled with "we have destroyed them 900 years in a row" snark. That was nice.

I agree that this is often a funny or good natured column. Does OSU have a site or content somewhere where they laugh at or parody themselves?

I know UM is considered arrogant by most of the country. But OSU always felt like the most sensitive and least self-aware fanbase in college football.
