Michigan closing bars and restaurants

All bars and restaurants are to be closed by 3pm today.  They're still allowed to offer carryout and delivery service, although I'm not sure how that works with booze.

We're now up to 53 confirmed cases, including a "young person".  It sure would be nice to know what school they went to.

Stay safe out there.

Parents are now stuck at home with their kids, who can't go to school or anywhere else.  It's not like summer break where they can put them in sports or summer camp or just throw them out of the house for a little while.  That'll be fine for now, but it'll get old in a hurry.  I think they might march en masse to Lansing to strangle the governor if all these restrictions last eight weeks.

If we are making laws that stop people from being able to make a living wage, then we need laws put in place to limit the costs to live. No way you can do this and expect people to pay their mortgages/rent.

Please everybody heed these warnings.  I personally know nursing professors that are being called back to active duty.  This isn't about us as individuals.  Please think about the people bravely suiting up in respirators to fight this.  Our healthcare community really needs everyone's help right now.

It sucks horribly, but we will all be making sacrifices for a while for the good of all.  Hopefully the government can keep people fed and housed for the time being.

I'm not trying to raise panic.  The truth is important though.

MSU had a confirmed case last week but didn't tell students or parents and dorms are still open. It's like they haven't learned a thing from the Nassar cover up. They should be super transparent at this point.
