Good. Hopefully the practice time the basketball team gets from now until the next game (Wisconsin?) will help them shake off the rust.

that routine worked for me, and I was one helluva . . . mediocre wannabe gym rat.

Who would have thought elite college athletes had the same regimen as my broomball team?

Man, now I miss the CCRB! Did anyone else play racquetball on the old courts on the first floor?

The new strain is popping up all over the US. You could probably contract it at Briarwood Mall.

Thanks to Michigan Health and Human service for what? The heavy handed approach to shut down all team activity?
February 8th, 2021 at 4:08 PM ^
Or maybe it's better to be a little extra cautious with student-athletes during a deadly pandemic. Sorry if that interferes with your entertainment schedule, Uncle Goober.

There are a few reasons to quarantine. Not least of which is to avoid bad publicity and litigation if someone got sick or died without action by the school in the face of a state recommendation to quarantine.
I suspect the athletics department would prefer for there to be athletics.
February 8th, 2021 at 4:48 PM ^
Wouldn't it be really extra cautious for the Athletic Department to just shut down for the semester?

mockery could get you assigned to a re-education camp....

Nothing like quarantining perfectly healthy people. It has nothing to do with my or anyones entertainment schedule these kids only get to play sports in college at one time in their lives. Pausing the entire team for weeks was completely pointless and a power grab to make an example of. I am all for the masks, social distancing. the vaccine but locking them away in their rooms did nothing absolutely nothing to prevent the spread. All it did was take perfectly healthy people at peak cardio shape out of that, out of their team rhythm for nothing. A complete and total joke that the health department made this call and the school complied with it.

Halle-fucking-lujah!
The whole thing took way too long and feels like a huge CYA situation.
Probably could have been accomplished in 7-10 days, not 16.

This is the correct answer. There should have been a pause, and it shouldn't have been this long. The rest of the posts are just hyperbole and bloviating on both sides.

Be nice if they could schedule a warm up game this week with Washtenaw Community College.
