Michigan #2 in AP men’s bball poll and 4 1st place votes
Michigan #2 in AP men’s basketball poll and 4 1st place votes.
Illinois #4, Iowa #5, osu #7
Damn 3 seconds too late, sorry.
Don't be so hard on yourself, just do better next time.
You mean faster - he did do it better...
TWSS
The only #1 that ultimately matters is the one in the post-NCAAT poll.
I hope we're #1 in THAT poll.
Well, they're #2 in the AP but #1 in our hearts.
Beat IL. Beat State.
Beat State again.
Then Beat State Again?
Beat Illinois. I wouldn't mind if Michigan beats them badly but just beat them.
#1 in your ?
Ohio State lost three games and dropped three spots - wtf? Even yesterday, after they had already lost to Michigan and Michigan State, CBS was still listing them as a 1-seed which I thought was interesting. Then they lost to Iowa. I can't imagine they're still considered a 1.
Absolutely not a 1 seed, but they lost to some good teams, and the other top 10 teams have similar win/loss records. They had some wiggle room.
"Absolutely not a 1 seed, but they lost to some good teams..." and one bad one.
OSU is lucky to still be on the 2 line.
Perhaps due to the 4 voters who are rationalizing that BU losing to Kansas is a better loss than M losing to Minny.
At times reality and polls make for strange bedfellows.
Looking at the points and votes it was almost a complete flip-flop with #2 & #3. My guess is the voters wanted to boost Michigan, but finally got an excuse to do so on their ballot.
What really counts is the seeding brackets. If UM stays at #2 that would logically mean that they have to go thru Baylor and Gonzaga.
The Zags don't have any real threats in their conference tourney so they should stay at #1.
But as they say: "steel sharpens steel", so bring on the tune up.
Does my phone know there are 3 great teams and then a giant gap?
Also #2 in the coaches poll where we received one first place vote and StAEE received one vote.
