UM 38 - FSU 13

It will be 13-10, us, at the half. Halftime adjusments shoot us ahead while our D-line mauls the pathetic line of Florida St. Cook breaks out early, but stopped shortly after midway through the second.

I have this feeling FSU 33-30 in overtime.

Michigan struggles to run, setting up some obvious passing situations, and their line gets to Speight a few times.  Cook takes a screen or swing pass for like a 60 yard touchdown, just barely outrunning Peppers coming from across to field trying  to make a tackle.

In overtime, a sack forces a long Kenny Allen field goal, and they score on a throw by Francois.

If we have a balanced attack, 24-10.  If we have to rely on our passing game, 17-10 FSU.  How's that for covering one's ass?

I am admittedly pessimistic. I wish I could be more hopeful, but we seem to be limping into this game; whereas, FSU looked really good in November. I just hope it's close and I obviously hope we win. But if FSU gets ahead early with an explosive play or two, it could get ugly...

Michigan comes out and stomps FSU ala Florida last year. This is a beatdown and FSU goes home crying to mommy after putting up 7 points early for

I apologize if I missed this, but why is Michigan the away team? In all the other bowl games, the higher ranked team is the home team. Not that it matters all that much, but I wanted to see the prettiest uniforms in all of sports one last time in 2016.

Cook breaks off a couple of big runs for the Seminoles but is chased down from behind by Peppers, saving the touchdowns and holding them to field goals. Otherwise, UM's defensive line overwhelms FSU's porous O-line. A healthy Speight keeps the turnovers to a minimum and connects on a couple of long balls. UM 27 FSU 13. Go Blue!

Tough, defensive slugfest, and closer than anyone would like it to be. This ain't gonna be no blowout on either side.

Cook does Cook things and breaks off a few big runs, but FSU's offense is held largely in check for most of the night. Don Brown knows that team, and that's a big advantage. Francois spends most of the night running for dear life as his OL can't protect him from arguably the best, deepest DL in football. Lewis locks down his side of the field.

Speight finally looks healthy, and while he doesn't have an awe-inspiring game (I'm expecting at least a sack or two from DeMarcus Walker), he takes care of the ball, and provides enough points for the defense to carry the team the rest of the way.

Peppers takes one more punt to the house before heading off to the pros. Harbaugh goes 2-0 at the Orange Bowl.

31-27 good guys.

I predict FSU will control the first half and be up by 14 or so....say 20-6. Then Michigan will make their halftime adjustments and make it a game in the 3rd quarter with some type of defensive touchdown. 20-15 going into the fourth. Then FSU will score again making it look like the game is all but over......but then Michigan will score on 2 consecutive drives to take a 30-27 lead. After it looks like we sealed the game I think FSU will get a huge run off the ensuing kickoff to set up a touchdown of their own. When they go to kick the XP, however, Michigan will block it and make it a 33-32 game by returning it. We will have one final chance to score just a field goal with less than a minute to play. On 4th and 10 Speight will throw a bomb and Darboh will break free for a touchdown at the last second to win the game 38-32. Then when we kick the XP, Jimbo Fisher will be salty and call a bunch of timeouts right before to delay our win.

FINAL SCORE UM38 FSU33
