MI vs. MN 2015 1:00 a.m.

Submitted by Wolfman on

Don't know who's still up or if there is an interest. However, with the current conversations in regard to this year's starting qb, wanted to give anyone who might still be awake the opportunity to take another look at Speight.

Whether you watch or not, wishing you all a great holiday weekend.

Soon, they will have no choice. All teams must be represented and given that we will have an abundance of Ws in the final stat line, will be difficult to keep our victories off t.v.

I needed that tonight though just as a reminder. Difficult to believe that young man only had two or three games experience prior to last season. Three "almost" plays in that single game in addition to the one he got, kickoff, punt return and pick 6 all,......... Oh, so close. Young man is going to be a Dude all year I do believe.

Also the speed we had on both sides of the field in Darboh and Jehu was evident and Jake was there to make key catches.

Dymonte, starting his first season I believe is also going to continue to make strides and I believe that was the game our rushing game started to actually showed what the future should look like. And the play we got from the DL, minimizing their ability to pick on our lbers this year, something they might not want to do this season. I am happy I opted to watch the game instead of putting some paint on the walls. Needed that fix

Just have a great deal of confidence if we can minimize plays lost due to injuries, by time we square off with MSU and OSU this season, we will be all of READY.

Just watched this. This game was great in hindsight because it was a game where Michigan didn't play great and got bad breaks, yet still found a way to win. With Hoke there is no way we won that game.

As ugly as this game got on a lot of levels, it was a successful test of the culture that Harbaugh has been creating in Michigan football and a successful test of a very important trait he is teaching in particular- there is zero quit in this team. That alone made it a nice victory overall.

That game came after one of the worst losses in the history of sports. Any other team gets rolled in that game behind that type of loss. That's what haters of this program fail to realize when they bring up the near losses last season as if all games are played in a vacuum.

happened right in front of me, as my seat was at the10-yard line.  I didn't know how we were going to somehow keep MN out of the end zone for three plays!

But then...movement....more movement...and yet even more movement, as the Gophers of Gold shifted again and again and again, the ball was snapped, the stop was made...and suddenly the clock ran out.

Thank you, MN!  Thank you, Tracy whats-his-name!

They are showing the 2014 Michigan hosting Maryland game....ugh.  On at 12:30 and 7pm.

Then again...it is one of Maryland's few shining moments of late.

Can't believe we managed to win that game. We had absolutely no business walking out of there with a W, but thank god Minnesota had absolutely no idea of how to handle clock management.

This was the kind of game that we would've lost (and likely would've gotten our asses sorely kicked) if Hoke was still coaching.

Oh yeah. Minnesota played so far above its head that night, but that was expected after losing Jerry.

A Hoke coached team would've come into that game with its tail between its leg after getting embarrassed (again) by a 3-4 TD beating from MSU on its own field. The defense would've played admirably enough for about 2-3 quarters, but Minnesota would've completely stifled and feasted on our offense, and after our defense gets gassed from repeated three and outs from our offense, we would've lost that game something like 28-7. Hoke would've had another uncomfortable press conference saying that the Big Ten title is still within reach, and that we simply didn't execute.

Really liked Brady Hoke as a man. Seems like he'd be a great guy to sit down and have a beer with. But as my head football coach? No thanks.

As many games as we've lost in the past because our own staff at the time didn't know how to manage the clock, I don't feel bad about this.  It's not like opposing fans were sending us their condolences every time Hoke forgot to call a timeout (or called one just in time to allow the opponent to chuck a hail mary before halftime.)

Peppers dropping that easy pick six would have ended that game sooner and saved us some stress. Minnesota played out of their minds in that game, as expected for Jerry Kill. They picked up those 4th downs easier than a RichRod opponent could convert a 3rd & 25. If Kill had resigned any OTHER week, we would have won that game by at least two touchdowns.

These are the threads that make me yearn for the season to start. I can live with summer and the There Are threads, but watching last year's games and knowing that things are going to be much different make waiting tough.

Time to stop the beat-down on Hoke. Sure, after the first season we were bad, but nothing to be gained now by these 'what-if' speculations. The guy bled blue from the time he came until the time he left. Let it go....

Like a beat down to me. As the head coach at Michigan, he should have done a better job. I like him too, but he should have stood up to Dave Brandon. I sat through every entire home game during his tenure to support the team. The team deserved better and so did I.
