It appears they are going to let his contract expire.

Am I the only one who assumed the O.P. was talking about Mel Kiper? I was guessing that he had a bad moment while discussing his 48th version of his draft guide. I must have the NFL Draft on my mind more than I think I do.

It took several comments to find out who Mel is. There's concise and then there's a poor choice of words. As if we're all mind readers..

Interesting that some of you wannabe comedians can’t seem to figure out that Michigan’s hockey coach contract is up this week and his name is Mel.
Anyone else think that BC is taking their time in replacing York? Maybe it is because they are waiting on another name coach to become available?

In everyone's defense, I assumed you were talking about Mel Tucker. Even after reading your abbreviated post. I still thought you were talking about Mel Tucker. So with NO information in the OP, it left me confused enough to read through the comments until something almost made sense.

Not buying it, the reader shouldn't need to "figure out" anything...it is incumbent on the poster to type the letters that make words that make sentences that explain their point about their unique insight into whatever pearl of wisdom they are trying to portray.  You are not charged a cost per letter, they are free.

Clearly OP meant an invitation to post haikus, just misformatted and couldn't edit it:

Let contract expire

This has already been discussed. Presumably, they're waiting for the findings of the independent investigation into alleged gender discrimination/falsified COVID results to be announced to A) announce his new contract or (less likely) B) start a coaching search.
