Match Harbaugh's Fine With Donations to #ChadTough

A worthy target for the Michigan Money Cannon. Craig from Hoover Street Rag and a few other Michigan outlets and Twitter accounts are attempting this week to raise at least $10,000, to match Harbaugh's fine with a donation to The ChadTough Foundation for DIPG research. This is a great cause with previous support from the Wolverine community. They're already at over $1,800 after 15 hours.

EDIT: A couple things. About $2700 has been donated in the less than 90 minutes since this post. Obviously, it didn't all come from here, but still impressive. This place is awesome.

Also, I'd like to be very clear that I am not really at all involved in the fundraising, nor was it my idea. I just gave it the signal boost to the MGoBoards. Your gratitude belongs to Craig Barker at Hoover Street Rag (@cdbarker, @hooverstreet), as well as Maize and Go Blue (@maizeandgoblue), @SupportUofM, and Maize and Blue Nation (@maizebluenation). They are the masterminds. I'm just this guy, you know?

It is a day like today when you see in under 24 hrs over 10,000 dollars raised for an amazing cause that you realize that there are amazing people in this world. The reason I love Michigan is beyond the sports. It is because of the people who also love Michigan who band together and raise money when needed. It is because of Mott's who saves kids lives every single day. Just an amazing day to be a Wolverine Fan!!!!!

Thanks for the other thread, BTW. I thought this might be the better way to go though, so I apologize for the inconvenience. 

I actually wrote myself a virtual sticky to bump this about every 6-8 hours depending on site traffic until Saturday, so hopefully I can keep that up.

This community is absolutely insane! I fit in perfectly.

This action is pure genius. One of the few things, along with my kids, that has helped me to feel better about Saturday's travesty.

I donated yesterday

What's more I have volunteered at the Big Ten championship game here in Indy every year (1) hoping to see UM play in the game and (2) helping out feels good. No more. I will not lift another finger for the Big Ten after that travesty on Saturday. Fuck Delany, fuck the Big Ten. I hope this Chad Tough fundraising absolutely shames them. Something tells me it won't.

This is a great cause, has already beyond doubled the goal in one day, and reflects well on our values - I would propose that the post continue to be bumped to the top to see how far we can take this by the deadline.
