Maryland is the program that chose to cancel, not Ohio State... but don't let the facts get in the way of your *ichigan narrative, as is typical on here.

Such hostility from the sloped neck set down south.  Do you tongue-punch your sister's fartbox with that mouth?

With this and all of the SEC happenings, they should just cancel the entire season at this point. Big Ten was right after all. None of this matters. We didn't lose any real games, even to MSU. Let it be done.

It mattered quite a lot to all the players, no matter how many games they end up playing - you know, the people we should actually be concerned for and deferring to. As long as they want to play, they should play, period. Especially since they are at such minimal risk of even getting serious symptoms, let alone worse outcomes. the fact is they have a higher risk of CTE than from Covid, a much higher risk of serious football injury than from Covid. Maybe we'll follow the science at some point.

Given that we have just blown by the most hospitalizations during the pandemic (had not eclipsed 60,000 before yesterday, now at 65,000), it actually is reaching the point where safety is becoming an issue.   As ERs become filled, and ambulances get diverted from hospitals, ambulance wait times go up etc, it may not make sense to use limited medical resources to be ready to deal with any serious injuries in a game.

Any smart team will suddenly get Covid for the OSU game, and suddenly not have Covid any more for their Michigan game (hi there Wisconsin).

The teams shitty play in year 6 of JH is still a thing regardless of the virus. UM lost 2 players because of the virus and people give that as the reason this season doesn’t count. Those 2 players were important, but let’s not kid ourselves here. Every other team is dealing with the same thing.

There always seems to be an excuse.

"There always seems to be an excuse."

That's the only that's exciting about Michigan football anymore. Many of the excuses are recycled but there's a handful of new ones every year. What excuses curious george has for the shit show next year is all there is to look forward to.

It's a good thing a bunch of parents sat outside a Panera bread and chanted to let their kids play football.

Anyway, this country has been hitting new record case counts every day and teams are having to cancel left and right, so maybe the administrators will look at the little bits of money they've been able to scrape together thus far and pack it in.

The inconsistencies regarding our approach to Covid are to blame, not the B1G or other leagues from trying to play.

As a for instance - my kids' schools are all hybrid and likely to go all remote again here real soon...but guess what?  Wrestling is starting next week!

Why is it "ok" for two young athletes to roll around on a mat face to face (or worse), but my kids can't go to school?  Oh - and school has been proven to NOT be a source of any sort of super spread...so wtf?

So yeah, I get it.  Can't go see relatives, but Football is ok?  Maybe look at your state government officials vs blaming "manbabies".

There's not going to be a CFP this year.  The election, and Trump's subsequent handling of the results, is dominating everyone's attention, but Covid is truly out of control right now.  It's going to get worse-- much worse.  By the time January rolls around, no one but the crazy conspiracy theory types are going to advocate for playing football games.

This year, OSU is actually getting screwed by bad luck-- they're wasting the best season by the best QB in the entire history of the school.
