Let's Go Blue! Grind Golden Gopher Guts!
Endzone tickets are available for ND game Friday. Winner of that series takes on Sparty.
I'm going Saturday, and if necessary, Sunday
I'm going with MgoSon to see Pistons-Mavs on Saturday so cheer loud for me. We need better goaltending to beat ND.
I hope Barzo will be good to go.
I’m going Friday and Saturday. I should have bought a ticket for Sunday but hoping we won’t need it.
3 shots for us in OT, none for them.
Brindley 2G, 2A
Casey 2G, 1A
McGroarty 1G, 2A
D. Duke 3A
Estapa 1G
Hughes, Warren, Truscott 1A ea
While a regulation tie is better for our PWR than a loss, I still thought we needed a regulation win to be in at large territory. If that's the case, I don't get why we didn't pull the goalie at the end of regulation, especially with them short handed.
Perhaps you never know who else might lose and need to max your PWR, regardless?
OT wins count as wins, shootout wins don't.
Announcers and everyone else I heard kept saying we needed a regulation win.
BTN lead announcers are idiots (and absurd Gopher homers). You want the #2 team.
I don't know how anyone can say what a team needs when it's not their last game of the season. If it was, then you would have pulled the goalie for a 6x4. But in this case, you can play for OT and see what happens. They're 13th now, so in the field but as another poster mentioned, if they won in regulation, their PWR would have been 10th. A shootout is treated as tie, so thinking they probably would have been 14 or 15. An OT loss, probably 15. Last night they lost in regulation and didn't their PWR didn't move because the teams around them lost.
Go Blue! No Brown Jug - but, beating Minny on their ice.. always a pleasure…
Currently 13th in PWR!
Does Pairwise care about regulation win vs. OT win?
As of 2021-22, when college hockey went to 3-on-3 overtimes across the board, The Committee decided to weight these differently. OT wins are counted as 2/3 (0.6666) of a win, and 1/3 (0.3333) of a loss.
Last night I thought we have a ways to go to beat teams like MN. Tonight I think we could beat any team on any given night. Reality is probably halfway in-between, but it’s looking better. Go Blue.
Apparently 10th if we didn't blow the lead. Margins are tiiiiiight at the bottom.
We play the figthings next weekend at yost?
Yeah. Without doing any math feels like we're safe if we win the series?
We seem Uber-talented, but uber-flaky, too. It’s a rollercoaster ride.
Literally any scenario in the tournament is plausible. They could win four straight 7-3 or get blitzed out in the first round.
We do. I think all 3 games are still TBA.
I'll be there in the south end zone Saturday, just a couple sections away from everyone's favorite usher. And if the series goes to a game 3 on Sunday, I'll likely stick around for it.
The game time on my app shows 7:00 each night.
Other game: FYS 1, WI 4, final.
