While a regulation tie is better for our PWR than a loss, I still thought we needed a regulation win to be in at large territory. If that's the case, I don't get why we didn't pull the goalie at the end of regulation, especially with them short handed.

Perhaps you never know who else might lose and need to max your PWR, regardless?

I don't know how anyone can say what a team needs when it's not their last game of the season. If it was, then you would have pulled the goalie for a 6x4. But in this case, you can play for OT and see what happens. They're 13th now, so in the field but as another poster mentioned, if they won in regulation, their PWR would have been 10th. A shootout is treated as tie, so thinking they probably would have been 14 or 15. An OT loss, probably 15. Last night they lost in regulation and didn't their PWR didn't move because the teams around them lost.

Last night I thought we have a ways to go to beat teams like MN.  Tonight I think we could beat any team on any given night.  Reality is probably halfway in-between, but it’s looking better.  Go Blue.
