M beats MSU in GLI

Michigan may be having a terrible season, but at least we didn't lose to Sparty in the GLI.  5-4 in OT, after blowing a three goal lead.

Beating a lousy Sparty team when giving up 3 third period goals forcing to win in Overtime is no reason to shed any hope for the rest of this year. This team is bad and will be this year. Change of direction needed now.

This team is the equivalent of RR trying to run the spread with all of Lloyd's players.

Red is coaching them like it's 2001 except they don't have an entire roster of speed and skill NHL draft picks.

It's so frustrating watching a team that needs to grind out possessions trying to play fun-and-gun with guys like Dexter Dancs and Tony Calderone. The blueline has enough trouble getting out, it's even harder on them when the forwards make a possession last 15 seconds.

Who should have gotten out a couple years ago. RR had fine success in a backwater with some innovative ideas. He's now irrelevant from a scheme perspective and remains a borderline buffoon from any other perspective. Red and RR really shouldn't be compared.
