No link or tweet, but Dan Dakich is my source based on who got this info during an NCAA meeting

celebration of that team's accomplishments. Beilein can say something as classy as f about how we understand that no team is being awarded the title but UM just wants to celebrate the fantastic accomplishments of that over-achieving squad. Keep that video on repeat from the jumbotron. Let the nation fill in the blanks.

This is a nation where justice, when it is served, is late, unsatisfying, and fails to really reel in most of the miscreants. Rub the bastards' noses in it. . . in a classy way.

The game still happenned and we still get credit for losing.  Just OSU can't claim credit for winning.

For example.  OSU's record is 0-1 in 2010 due to vacated wins.

But our record is still 7-6 including the loss.

The crazy thing is that Arkansas, who knowlingly played against an OSU team using ineligible players has to count the loss.

The games aren't whitewashed from history, when you vacate you just can't claim the win.

Man that kills me. We should have won that game even with their ineligible players on the floor, but they should not have been there in the first place, so that is a double stab.

Rule breakers, but I'm unsure what else you're talking about. I likely forgot about this since I want to forget that loss ever happened.

That win could have picked us up so much from the years of shit the football program was going through. Still so mad.

Screw being the good guy worrying about perception. Invite the squad back, give them rings, and hang a freaking banner at the home opener next year. Other schools fiercely take what they can get and are ruthless for their own interests. Our turn.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but a Dan Dakich report is not "official" as your title states.  At this moment in time, the Univ of Louisville says they have received no notification whatsoever from NCAA.

Having said that, I hope like hell the banner does come down and the monetary penalty is stiff.  But so far nothing at all is "official."

Don't go talking about this publicly. The last thing Michigan should do right now is find some way to piss off the NCAA... Like spilling contents from a closed door meeting. We need Patterson, peeps.
