Louis Bullock was at Michigan's game

Submitted by DISCUSS Man on

The first of the three surviving players that were banned from contact with the university have stepped forward and made a move.

According to Beilein on his radio show just now, Louis Bullock was at the Michigan-Maryland game and talked with him/the team. Your move, Taylor and C-Webb.

unless and until he publicly acknowledges and expresses remorse for the damage he inflicted on the program.

"Sources familiar with the Martin investigation told The News last summer that the bulk of the money Bullock received from Martin came during his junior and senior seasons, 1997-98 and 1998-99 - after Martin had been banned from having contact with U-M teams and athletes, and after ex-coach Steve Fisher had been fired."

Then that you didn't listen to Sam and Ira on 1050 the next morning. It was all they could do to not tell Mr Bullock to take his "I'm not sorry for anything" comment and shove it.

I don't get all the Louis Bullock hate. I certainly hate Brian Ellerbe, but Bullock was a heck of a player for us and didn't intentionally do anything wrong. I'm sure Ed Martin told him it was legal.

are you seriously that obtuse? Go back upthread and read the excerpt I posted. The shit had already hit the fan at Michigan, with Martin being banned and Fisher being fired, and he STILL took money from Martin. Only somebody who didn't give a shit about Michigan would have done that.

Family was practically destitute, right? And CWebb gets the headlines because he always got the headlines...oh, and he (allegedly) lied to a Grand Jury too... But he was a hell of a ball player, so we should all lighten up on him, right? Especially since he is so outwardly remorseful... ((Do I really need a /s?))

I'll just speak generally assuming that you're the latest reincarnation of "Brunswick Blue" or "_____for Harbaugh" or one of the other folks who seem to be unable to get enough of trolling. You don't have to let it end like this, your account. There is help. There is also Bolivia. Whichever you prefer can be arranged.

WTKA had a bunch of time on the subject the other day. He did an interview with the bad Detroit newspaper.

Bullock's quote in said-article about the violations.

"It was hard but at the same time, I was concentrated on my career," he said of his three years in Italy, 10 in Spain and three championships. "Never once did I feel bad about the situation. Mistakes were made, we were young, but life goes on. I was still in love with the overall part of the university and the person that I became after. It's great now that I can come back and try to be around the program. It holds a place in my heart and if I can help put in any way, I'm willing to."

decade + long death spiral, he was in Europe working on his career. But now he is back and it is time for all of us to just forgive and forget so he can get on with his life. No thanks. I am disappointed that Beilein is letting him anywhere near the program until Bullock makes a very public and sincere explanation and apology.

Sweetest jump shot I've ever seen at Michigan, Stauskas included.

That being said, Bullock is perhaps the most frustrating of the guys who took cash, as he came from a fairly well-off family as it was, and was taking cash after the Ed Martin investigation began. There were signs hanging in the locker room with Martin's picture, saying "do not associate with this man," and Bullock did anyway.

I appreciate that he wants to be involved again, but no thanks.
