...should tell you all you need to know about Michigan's interest level.

They're in great position with Ryan Hayes and Jalen Mayfield and have a top-tier guard committed in Emil Ekiyor. O-line recruiting is in fine shape.

you are worried about a kid because he has a certaiin number ranking next to his name? have you talked to him? watched him play? met his friends and family? i think the coaches go by more than just where other people have a player ranked.

Wow. That would be pretty embarassing if the #1 recruit in the state opts to leave to go play for a cellar-dwellar SEC team.

OSU I'd get (disgustingly, but I'd get it. Maybe he's not a UM fan), Alabama, USC, ND, I'd definitely get wanting to go to those places. But you're a top-100 player, can go probably just about anywhere you want, and you want to go to a school that believes you're just a good way to pass the time until basketball season?

That I don't get. You're going to be your entire conference's tune-up game.

Pretty embarrassing to let a kid you haven't recruited in months go to a mid tier school? Hardly. This isn't a straight up recruiting battle. We. Dont. Want. Him. The number next to his recruit ranking is irrelevant. Does Michigan want him? No. That's all that matters. Whether he's a top 100 kid or a 1000 kid. We don't want him. Simple as that. And the fact that KENTUCKY is the top team after him still, should tell you an awful lot about how colleges perceive the kid and how unimportant that ranking is.

He should go to OSU, Alabama, USC or ND.  Or Michigan.  Problem is, none of those 5 schools seem to want him to play for them.  And he's on the verge of committing to the 3rd best Stoops brother at a basketball school.  Are we really having a hard time figuring this out?

Friggin' 247 Composite, man.  What a racket.

This has been a strange recruitment from the jump. It's like their is something being held back and he is not a take for some reason. He was at the spring game so I just do not get it. He is the #4 guard in the country and he is looking at kentucky........REALLY. Can someone please shed some light on this because you just don't let top 100 kids walk without a reason.

What's "wrong" with a kid doesn't necessarily mean anything bad. Could just mean the kid isn't nearly as good as his ranking suggests. The lack of high profile programs after a player ranked that high would seem to support that theory.

UM is not pushing hard for McCall, certainly not as high as you'd think given his ranking. Not sure why. Sam Webb has intimated that Ryan Hayes and Jalen Mayfield are top targeted OL and possibly the next to verbal.  If so, class is at 10 with only 8-10 spots open. Anyone know how many OL we take in this class?
