Is football really here? someone pinch me
Craig Roh and Winnipeg play Calgary at 6MST in a battle for first place. This could be the year for the Blue Bombers. Grab some beer and watch....
My favorite team from CFL. Blue Bombers.
I was always partial to the Tiger-Cats.
Is this the first preseason game? Wooooooooooooooooo!
Damn, it was Thursday night. Missed a couple.
Loins? This thread is already hilarious
Yeah. There is a good joke in there about pats and loins that I’m too exhausted to come up with.
Was it the one where the lions beat the pats easily last year in the regular season? Yeah that’s a good one...
As a recovering former Lions fan, I find your moral victory sentiment nostalgic and endearing.
What did you recover from?
Have the Lions won more than one playoff game in the last 60 years that I missed?
I’ve been in Seattle for 11 years now. While I still don’t root for the Seahawks, I’ve slowly learned to let go of the Lions and no longer consider myself a fan. It’s helped with my sanity. Fortunately, they make it easy with performances like tonight to not get pulled back in.

Ditto. I'm in Denver now and don't root for either the Broncos or the Lions.
The Fords don't deserve my fandom. They've been fleecing the good people of Michigan for years and laughing all the way to the bank.
Besides, college football is more fun!
Sorry, are you implying that the Loins finished prematurely?
Is this only on live TV in the New England and Detroit markets?
NFL Network will replay the game at 1pm EST tomorrow. My DVR is already set.
Go Tenderloins!!!
Too much patting results in tender loins!
That has a completely different connotation for those out west.
College football should have spring exhibition games/joint practices open to all divisions.
We could renew some old rivalries with Chicago, Cornell and Penn.
Not sure about that. We already have 2 main rivals, Illinois and Rutger. I may have got your intent wrong, but I upvoted you for the sarcasm.
I like the idea, maybe one game early August against local teams, perhaps like what the MLB does, i.e. the Tigers play local colleges in Florida in spring training. Michigan could play teams like Grand Valley State, Ferris State, etc.
Not a bad idea WD. I would't mind allowing teams one exhibition game in August per season. Would have to make it a rule that no FBS team can be scheduled, to avoid teams trying to play a 13th game for their resume and/or ticket sales.

A number of coaches over the years have asked for an exhibition game or at least the opportunity to scrimmage other teams. I'd be in favor of it.
The Loins will rise to the occasion...
Are you drinking already, lie-downs are living up to their name as they are losing 28-0 in the 3rd qtr.
I’m at Ford Field who is the injured guy on the field?
Kearse.
Broken leg and “associated ankle injuries”
he gone
Their scrubs are way better than our scrubs. OTOH, when we went 0-16 some years back, we were 4-0 in the exhibition season. So, go Pats, I guess.
Yeah depth may be a concern, because this is brutal!
Didn’t see anything terribly gross but may have missed it?
You did .... it’s not good
Other than his left foot oriented 90d away from his left knee, neither did I. Or was it his right foot? Either way, not good.
Other than his foot pointing the wrong way? NOPE!
We are here! Waiting for Chase!
So who wins a playoff game first, Michigan or Lions?
I say Michigan.
Shocked, SHOCKED that a couple of years out of MSU has Shallique Calhoun looking downright skinny.
Lions will not be .500 this season.

4-12 is my guess

But please give matt stafford more money because he is soooooooo good!!!
Right?!? Detroit ownership and their undying loyalty!
Can see why the Lions offensive line coach has been with three different teams in the last 4 years.
Lions bench players are terrific ...
Who can even think about exhibition football when the Tigers and Royals are locked in a one run slugfest?
Winovich sack!

Holy crap, do the Lions have a good $insurance policy purchased for Stafford ?
