Bielema was an asshole, for sure (thinking of how he had his o-line go after Mike Martin’s knees), but I don’t remember any off the field issues - unlike miles, petrino, etc.

I mean this is the same university that essentially has no issues with Bill Self's basketball program giving a big middle finger and thumbing its nose to the NCAA despite many obvious infractions. Granted, I don't think Bill Self has ever been accused of sexual misconduct, but wouldn't surprise me to see Long get out of this with his job intact.

Jeff Long can eat a bag of dicks - he's as big a scumbag as anyone else in this scandal. Not only did he hire Les without any due diligence, he rescued Bobby Petrino from disgrace at Arkansas, and has covered for Kansas' basketball team as it cheats its way through life. I mean, in the middle of a trial about seedy bball agents and a sketchy payments, he sponsored a stripper pole to open basketball practices two years ago. The guy has zero class.
Besides, why in the living hell would Kansas trust him to hire a football coach? Not only did he hire Petrino, he also hired John L Smith and Bert Bielema at Arkansas. I wouldn't trust his football coaching judgement if I had to!
I now feel so much better when Kirk Herbstreit stated Les Miles is going to Michigan. Glad we missed on him.

This is 100% unrelated, but it reminded me of the time my grandpa, a legend, tried s'mores for the first time at like 85 years old (he may have just forgotten that he'd tried them before). The world of a P5 head football coach is pretty distorted and I am sorry Les couldn’t navigate it and hold on to his sense of human decency. Things aren’t getting any better for Kansas with DeBord as their new head coach, either. All in all, it’s a sad situation.

That’s a new one.
