Last year Michigan beat Wisconsin 38-13 at home

...do you think that Wisconsin's fans wanted to cancel their program after?

This is not a "fan base".   This is some weird community of people that think they are owed something by a college football team.

I've been cheering for this team for almost 40 years and don't have any plans to stop now.   Can we create another site for that group?

The incredible criticism from so many people that have never played football, all the armchair quarterbacks, it is insufferable.

What's insufferable is we hired a coach at 9 million dollars a year to win nothing more than 10 games a year and asshats like you will defend him to the end of the earth. If you're okay with that maybe go cheer for Northwestern.

Remember all the know it alls on here making fun of Coach O at LSU? He's doing better than Harbaugh and it's not even close.

You do realize that there are tons of better coaches that Hoke, RR, and now it seems Harbaugh as well.

So because Harbaugh is not Hoke or Rodriguez, he is one of the best coaches in the game?  Being better than the worst does not make you the best.

Not seeing it.  Harbaugh cannot beat top 10 competition and it is getting old.

Michigan couldn't do anything offensively until Wisconsin's safeties were both ejected and even then, the only thing open were out routes.

Harbaugh is consistently out-coached.

Lol..... Wisconsin was in the game at half last year.

We were getting blown out at half. 28-0.

Does anyone watch the fucking game? Jesus Christ.

You sound like the idiots who say we scored 30+ against OSU when they were up by 4 TDs and stopped giving a fuck.

Oh, get off your high horse. Fuck you. This performance was unacceptable on so many levels. Harbaugh's coaching is a disgrace and he should be fired immediately. You can be happy with where we're at if you like but it's a no for me.

1.  I've been a fan longer than you.

2.  Playing football or not has no bearing on someone's "right" to fandom.

3.  Maybe click on some threads that are more to your taste before posting your own brand of outrage.

4.  None of the boards reactions today (justified or not) should be a surprise.

It is 2019 not last year.

We have pumped major cash into this program for Harbaugh and assistants.

We have looked very poor in every facet of the game.

The criticism is deserved.... anyone not able to be critical is not being objective.

And we hired the top free agent football coach in America and still need last minute heroics to scrape by Minnesota, Northwestern, and Army, despite vastly out recruiting them. The point being we have everything and do nothing with it, while other teams have nothing and regularly embarrass us. Paying Chryst what he makes at Wisconsin you have different expectations than you do paying Harbaugh what he makes at Michigan. We're vastly underperforming, if not totally shitting the bed, and paying top dollar for it.

I thought the exact same thing, Wisconsin just doesnt have that kind of pressure put on them, so they are fine with a bad performance or a bad loss. This "fanbase" if you want to call them that thinks we should be #1 every year so if a player makes a mistake or we lose a game badly or lose a close one its the end and the "fans" are "done". Lol

I think to present it like that without context does a disservice to the players and fans.  That was a game the team needed to play at a high level and they were checked out.  It isn’t the first time either.  That is a program in disarray, from Ohio State last year to right now.

A lot of people want to ask “who else could we get?”  Answer - anybody.  Those are high level players on our team.  Nobody wants to “blow up the program.”  Jim Harbaugh is not “the program,” he is Jim Harbaugh.

Wisconsin wasn't also in year 5 after hiring the most exciting head coach prospect in the sport--who happened to have also been an all-time great player at the school. We have the talent and resources; people expect a TON better by now.  No one is saying cancel the program. I think everyone is just in genuine shock that the Harbaugh era has been something between a disappointment and abject failure.

It's a thin line on which we walk. I can see a reality in which the referees are not incompetent, the Bell catch is confirmed and we're in the middle of a hell of a contest. Even if we lose in that reality, that's where I want to be. Instead? Our team absolutely folded after being worked by some early calls.

In year 5, we shouldn't be folding. We shouldn't be embarrassing ourselves.

I played football for 8 years, does that mean I get to crap all over the team without your persecution of my decision to do so?  I'm not sure what that has to do with anything to be honest.

OP, some people rationalize losses differently than you do, get over it.  Live and let live.

Or, its ok to lose to Michigan because we have great talent, but its not ok for us to lose to Wisconsin because we have talent and we shouldnt lose to them, I see now.

If this was a bunch of fans at a sports bar, I'd see your point.  Have a little respect for the people around you, don't badmouth your players in public, etc.

But this is a site dedicated to Michigan athletics, with an emphasis on football.  And the mgoboard feature is specifically there so members can talk about football.  This is exactly the correct place to vent and to express frustration, instead of kicking your dog or being grumpy to your wife or having some kid's family overhear you running him down at a sports bar.
