Jordan Travis injured- looks really bad

Jordan Travis just carted off after an awful looking tackle. Defender hip dropped onto his folded leg. Big injury for FSU.

Somewhat related, why is it that the SEC and ACC like to throw in one of these random garbage games late in the season? Say what you want about scheduling cupcakes, but if you're going to do it, shouldn't it be to start the season so that you can get a feel for your team before you move into the actual season part of the season?

I still think Joe's was worse on Monday Night Football. Plus they kept showing it in slow motion. Never seen that much force cause such a compound fracture of the lower leg. Probably many younger mgobloggers who do not remember this.

FSU is my second favorite team. My older brother went there and I went to a few games at Doak Campbell. I am absolutely heartbroken for Jordan Travis. He has had an up and down road at FSU, especially early on in the rebuild under Norvell. But the kid stuck it out and has become the face of that team. A real leader and a good kid. Super easy to root for him. I hate that it’s going to end this way for him at FSU. Ugh. Sports man, the highs (1000th win) and the lows (JTs injury).

Gotta ban that tackle, the "hip drop". Defenders can bitch all they want about "how do we tackle" but that is a super dirty play. Mark Andrews suffered a similar fate on the same kind of tackle. No place for that shit in football, lets try that tackle style on the defense and see how they like snapping their legs

I completely agree.  I saw it happen ABC went there live and Booger didn't see it coming.  It's more dangerous than the horse collar.  I predict both the NFL and college ban the Tush Push and the hip drop tackle. The Tush Push is ridiculous and the the hip drop tackle will eventually destroy careers.

I’m surprised it took this long in this thread for someone to say this. This type of tackle was completely unnecessary, and possibly intended to injure. There’s nothing stopping a dirty opponent like MSU or OSU from using this dirty tackle on one of our star players, to get them out of the game. It’s sickening. I wanted to throw up when I saw the replay.

One of the worst-looking injuries in sports history. I wish him a full and speedy recovery.

Possibly the worst I ever saw was 2010 Houston WR Patrick Edwards running into a cart in a game at Marshall. He later sued MU because why tf did they have a cart just parked on the side of the field? Just painful to watch.
