Joey Baker to go pro
When I was living in S. Korea there was a player from IPFW, now Purdue Fort Wayne, playing on Anyang KGC. David Simon was the name. He was doing pretty well over there making a couple all star teams. After the 2018 season he got banned from the league for being too tall. They started only allowing foreign players who are 6-6 or under. Only Korean players were allowed to be taller.

Too bad. I was really looking forward to having both a Duke player and a North Carolina player on the team.

Thanks, Mr. Baker.

I wish he would have been our starting 4 all year long, probably better spacing and a better option for Hunter to kick out to. He wasn't anything special but he always appeared to be a better option than TWill. Good luck young man and thanks for your time at UofM.

Baker at the four would have made TWill look good in comparison.
I don't know man, I know he is suspect on D but what exactly did TWill bring to the table this year?
This 100% this is what Beilein wouldve done. And you dont think 12 ppg as a starter wouldv been huge to this season? Everyone is letting a couple misses cloud their judgement. You need your best "just a shooter" to get minutes and shots. Meanwhile we had "just a ????" in Twill and cheddar.

he will absolutely be able to make a nice living shooting jumpers overseas.

I think he can make a roster somewhere overseas, but I’m not sure he’ll earn a lot of money doing it. Most overseas teams don’t pay that well, and he’s probably not good enough to make one of the teams that does.

and it's a minor miracle IF you even get paid

Bummer. TWill is more than ready to pick up the slack though. Good luck to Joey.
Joey shot .391 from 3 last season. TWill shot .250. Joey averaged 5.4 rebounds per 40 minutes, TWill averaged 8.8 per 40. They are completely different players tasked with doing different things.
TWill needs to focus on defense and rebounds. Crazy stat: per 40 minutes, TWill averaged 0.4 and 0.3 steals and blocks, respectively. Joey averaged 0.9 and 0.6.

So much for that medical redshirt then. Wishing Joey the best as he moves forward! While the team has unquestionably gotten more athletic over the past week (good and needed), our team shooting is seemingly getting worse. Hopefully Love improves his shot selection and gets back closer to his sophomore year shooting numbers and Burnett just improves overall. Right now the only guys I somewhat trust shooting a 3 pointer would be McDaniel and maybe Jackson (small sample size though). If Kante falls through they should look for a 4-5 that can shoot a little to back up Reed.
They are already looking for a center in portal no matter in Kante comes or not. Jackson from Seton Hall is atrocious when asked to play defense on centers. K are will be here he is taking the class ASAP to be eligible.
Is this something that should have posted on April 1st?
Wish Joey the best at the next level.
