Jim Harbaugh Welcome Billboards around the state

Submitted by ThadMattasagoblin on

I don't know if any of you caught it but on my way to the basketball game I spotted a Welcome Home Harbaugh billboard in Howell and Whitmore Lake. It's amazing how much press this is getting as one of the greatest coaching hires ever.

I think old Mr. Hackett is fibbing a bit when he says Jim agreed to take the job yesterday.  Quite a lot of billboards up (not to mention other logistical considerations) in a really short amount of time.

about JH 'agreeing' before his contract with the 49'ers was over.   i listened to the presser and hackett just about came out of his chair as he answered that one question for JH, 'yesterday!'.   there was a practice round of questions and answers that the parties went through before that presser in anticipation of that sticky proposition.

I saw it on the news. I believe it was the same company that owned each of the billboards and was running the news on all of them around the state. I can only hope and pray there was one in Lansing too.

There's actually one over here by the airport too, but  of the photos of the different conceptual designs I have seen so far my personal favorite was the simple "Hey, #4, make us #1". I wonder if that one is up yet, but I really liked that one in particular.
