JBB appears okay

on Karons live Instagram video he appears fine moving around, saw him jumping in others. Perhaps he was held off for precaution.

What progress we’ve come to that we miss him instead of looking to replace him. Congrats to him on a hell of an improvement.

I don't think there's any way to know, though if he's moving around the worst options are probably off the table.

After the injury it did sound like the trouble spot was "ankle" rather than "knee." Ankle injuries hurt, but there are a range of them that are light enough not to keep a guy from playing.

JBB is turning into a great story. He was, basically, left for dead. He was part of (though not primarily) the problem against ND. Everyone wanted to see him lose his job.

And yet.

I think virtually everybody wanted, at the very least, to see Hudson and Mayfield get a chance for most of the second halves against Western and SMU.

Instead they repped Runyan and JBB almost until the bitter end. They went with the horses they picked and tried to develop them to be as good as possible. And it's working.

Shows you what we know.

This.  We've been so conditioned recently to expect no development or improvement from the line, especially during the season. I think the line as a whole, and the linemen individually, have been improving noticeably this season.  I see no explanation for that other than Warriner and related coaching changes.  Also interesting that Stueber came in... historically I'd take that as a very bad sign re: development of Hudson/Mayfield... but with how the line has been improving... maybe it's a good sign re: Stueber!?

Both choices come with serious consequences (taking a chance that the ability to set up 3 generations financially gets ruined for a school/team he presumably loves vs. not "being there for the team" to ensure gets the life changing financial stuff). I respect the *hell* out of someone who has to make a decision like that. Either way, he's been an awesome representative for the University since the moment he stepped on campus.

Hope he is all ready to go in two weeks. Possibly the greatest mid-senior season improvement ever.

Steuber in my opinion came in because they knew at that point they were done passing. I get the feeling based on his size he’s a run blocker first. I’m thinking they played the match up Hudson vs Steuber and went with the run game.
