If true, none of us really know whether this would be good or bad in the long run as regards to the Cass Tech pipeline. I can easily think of some pros and cons. Wilcher could come to Michigan and do very well, get recognized, then leave for a higher paying position somewhere else. I guess that could possibly disrupt the Wilcher Cass Tech pipeline because Wilcher would no longer be involved. Wilcher could come to Michigan and not do well at his position. Would we dare fire him and risk our relationship with Cass Tech? The pros would be him possibly staying and doing well at Michigan for many years while helping us lock down Cass Tech and Detroit.

couldn't we just pay him under the table and keep him at Cass the same way OSU had been paying Ted Ginn Sr. for years?

Hell if Wilcher is looking UM would be crazy not to at least consider it...because you know Meyer or Dantonio or Franklin  or Kelly or some other program would be more than willing to bring him and his pipeline into their programs.

This is a very good thing. Wilcher likely has the ear of the next 3 or 4 classes of DPSL talent and could help funnel them all to Ann Arbor. Touche Harbaugh :)

by Harbaugh for the new RB coach. The guy obviously is a damn good coach and he knows the Detroit area and the high school kids. Could do a great job recruiting the area and I don't think there would be any drop off in the RB coaching area.
