I'll take Unexpected Awards (If You Asked Me Two Weeks Ago) for $1000.
AT: Jake Rudock and Jehu Chesson were named for this weekly award on November 16, 2015.
EM: What is B1G Offensive Players of the Week?

2 weeks ago my answer likely would have been "What is the Marcus Hall Epic Double Bird of the Week?"

In the words of Mills Lane, Ill allow it.

Let's shoot for two weeks in a row.

Three in a row!
November 16th, 2015 at 12:23 PM ^
Aim higher, 5 games in a row!

I'll see your two, and raise you a third week. And then a fourth after that. Then a 5th.

I will raise you....

Presumably, games four and five would yield not just B1G POW honors, but honors on some other grander scale!

kicked ass that game, essentially putting UM in a position to win. Impressive, very impressive. Especially by Rudock.

For Jehu he's really become a complete WR, not just a WR who excels at blocking on the outside. We will need him to remain a deep threat these next two games so PSU and OSU don't load the box against us.

Well done.
I know this gif is used frequently, but I can honestly say that it makes me laugh each and every time - it's genius! The bowling ball head is fricking hilarious.

I didn't think this was thread-worthy, but I really am curious as to what exactly has happened for Rudock. In my mind, one of three things are most likely:
1. He was nursing an injury all year, and now that is gone. We should expect him to play at a high level from now on;
2. The proverbial light came on, all at once. We should expect him to play at a high level from now on;
3. Nothing has changed, and Rudock feasted on the two weakest defenses in the B1G the last two weeks. He will revert back to Evil Rudock the next two weeks.

4. The receivers are running better routes, and being more aggressive.
5. The pass protection- particularly RB blitz pickup- have improved.
6. After Utah, he has calmed down and does not panic, does not get rattled.
7. He is seeing the field better, using his eyes better, and going through progressions better.
8. Increased confidence from coaches, fellow players, and himself.
9. The game plan and play calls have changed because:
a) they coaches trust him more because of the above
b) the running game has not been effective
c) they can rely on the defense less
i.e. they have to.

Props to them. I wonder how many award winners have come after playing Indiana.

Connor Cook won it against Indiana too.

I would have been shocked if one of them at least weren't in the running for this recognition this week, but it is nice to see them both get recognized for a very, very nice game on offense indeed. Actually, it has been nice to see Michigan players figure regularly in these discussions over the last few weeks in particular.

I think honorary co-MVP should go to Jake Butt. I didn't realize until watching the game for a 2nd time how many extremely vital catches he had that kept us in the game.

I am just glad to see some deep ball connections! (Why does it sound so bad though?)
Hope it continues the rest of the year.

Well deserved after their perfomances. Love the confidence the passing game is gaining. We all would like to have the run game to go along with it but it's that time of the year to go with what works and hopefully this part of the offense keeps on working.

Rudock's performance Saturday was epic in terms of the program's history.
Please, please, please let it continue through the rest of the season.

Rudock's RTG (however that is calculated) was at 301 at one point in the game, which is fantastic. (He finished at 190.8. Sudfeld was 122.9 for the game).

Well deserved.

Yes, good show, chaps. Jolly good show! Excelsior!!!

This is a well deserved honor for both of them. It is nice to think about PSU coaches that have to adjust their defensive gameplan to account for the deep ball. That alone should help us to run the ball better. Hooray! #BeatPSU
