Jake is a better person than Leonard Fournette and Christian McCaffrey for sure.  TEAM first!  I will always remember him laying it on the line one final time in that bowl game for the TEAM.

Fournette and McCaffery sitting out isn't an indictment on their personal character. Sitting out of a bowl game that isn't even a NY6 is smart, because a bowl game is an exhibition.

Plus how dare you speak ill of the McCaffery clan after all they've done for Michigan

Never heard of that? It's an old-timey slang newspaper term for a football player. Comes from the word gridiron.

Other examples:

  • swimming = tanker
  • basketball = cager
  • hockey = icer
  • running = harrier
  • volleyball = spiker
  • wrestling = grappler

Tad Wieman (in my mind, pronounced, WEE-man) and Dick Balzhiser beat out Jake Butt for All-Name Team.
