Izzo "Doesn't plan on going anywhere"

Submitted by Supa Hot Fire on

Izzo also told Michigan State fans who are dissapointed and angry to "find another team." He said he is more proud of this team than any other he has ever coached. Funny stuff.

Izzo is one delusional fuckin clown. That guy really thinks that he is important. Not only is he a bad person, but know he is a bad coach. Goodbye asshole!!. Take your fucked up buddy Dantonio with you. LOL.

Whatever, sure.  Stick around.

What got me was him saying "I don't run from anything", then repeatedly not being willing to talk about anything related to the sexaul assault issues years ago and, to a lesser extent, the Bridges situation.  Like, sure, you don't necessarily duck questions after a win against Rutgers, but he's not someone I'd say has stood before the firing squad.  I guess in EL that's fine, but I'd have to think there are some in the MSU fanbase who are wondering if the game has passed them by and if a change would be in order.  Next year's MSU team looks...fine.  But they don't have two 5* NBA first rounders on that team, and it's not like you can confidently expect a team headed by Ward, Langford, and Winston to run roughshod through college basketball.

Would it be crazy to think this is the off season Izzo finally leaves for the NBA? Van Gundy's tenure in Detroit appears over. Owner of the Pistons, Tom Gores is an MSU alum.

He pampered his team all year with that kind of talk and they played soft as a result. “Oh isn’t Miles special?” “This team is the best I’ve ever had”. He turned them into a team that thought they’d win just by showing up

"He said he was motivated to bring Michigan State as a basketball team and a university back to a place of respect and prestige after a tumultuous season filled with off-the-court controversy and questions."

Tom, the university doesn't get its respect back from Nassar and your unruly program from winning basketball games you clueless jerk.  It gets respect back from taking serious actions showing accountability, remorse, and prevention of repeat actions - which will take time.

He shouldn't be coaching - full stop. If he sticks around I hope it absolutely crumbles underneath him.

He could not be more tone deaf. You want to make MSU a revered institution? Then own the fuck up to their and your transgressions. And assist in any way you can in making it a safe place for young people to grow and make the world better. Not by acting like you’re more of a victim than actual survivors. Brenda Tracy said his language regarding consent/sexual assault was full of victim blaming. The guy has no fucking clue what kind of situations he is in. It is honestly super fucked up how he looks at these situations.

Like I said above. They both remind me of Paterno and we know what happened to him. I mean how fuckin many victims do your players have to rape before you are let go. My god Dantonio you are flat out recruiting sexual predators and turning them loose on the women at msu. What the fuck is wrong with you?.

Of course the guy does'nt care, he knows exactly what the fuck he is doing. Robertson, Robertson, ROBERTSON!!!!. Dantonio should not only be fired he should be held liable. Izzo and Dantonio are flat out garbage and anyone who defends these enablers should flat out be ashamed. Same goes for the psu fans who back the man and coaching staff that wrote the book on enabling. It was more than Paterno...Schiano, Johnson?. So fuck osu fans also. Well always fuck osu fans!!.

Neither did LAS, also Gee worried Tressel would fire him, USC totally ran a clean program under Carroll, etc, etc.. Poor embattled Izzo. He sure has had a rough year. But don't worry, he will bravely rise above these off-court distractions. Fucking piece of shit.

"I'm smart. Not like everybody says... like dumb. I'm smart and I want respect. I played Ben Carter 8 more minutes than Big Ten DPOY and FOY Jaren Jackson. I let Bridges shoot all the shots. It's his fault we lost." No Tom, you are dumb.

This douche is just unbelievable.  What a creepy cult MSU has become.  Dude is living in la la land.

Keep dodging them bullets and being concerned about the victims while not answering questions with your stupid little ribbon and "we talk we listen" shirts.  What a bunch of out of touch wackos running that place.  It would be comical if it didn't involve something as horrible as sexual assault.

The more proud line is utter bullshit. What exactly did this team do to be proud of other than underachieve win the regular BIG with the most lopsided wuss schedule imaginable?  He's just proud of Bridges for being gullible enough to succumb to Izzo's greedy guile to stick around a year and forego millions.

At this point Izzo is Beilein's bitch so please Tom, stick around.  We love you there.

If the Feds keep poking around his program. Would like to see this be his last

game at MSU prior to his stepping down in disgrace. Dantonio won't be

far behind. But not until JH beats his pompous smart ass  first.

If the Feds keep poking around his program. He might have to step down in disgrace.

Dantonio will be right behind him. But not until JH beats his smart ass to a pulp.

whose recent teams haven't improved and have underperformed as a team, and allows a basketball coach to be the victim. Actually he is a perfect leader for Sparty.

If Jackson had any brains he would take his lottery money and develop on an NBA squad.  Bridges has cost himself millions to be able to stand around on the perimeter of Izzo's unimaginative offense and beat a bunch of bad big10 teams.

Well, if you are going to play Ben Carter???  23 minutes and only give 15 minutes to Jaren Jackson and 16 minutes to Nick Ward,  the game has probably passed you by.

That would be like Beilien giving the majority of playing time to Austin Davis over Teske and Wagner in our game against Houston.

Why? Only a complete idiot would want to be their AD before the investigation is over. That, and I expect the school to start running into ongoing operating expense issues after the Nasser civil suits are done.

If there's no new AD, who would want to be hired as a basketball coach with multiple investigations going on? It's going to take at least two years for all the civil suits to be settled.

A win in football in October would land the crushing blow to MSU's AD.

Izzo’s comments:

“But you ain’t breaking me.”

“I took too many bullets this year.”

“Nobody, not my wife, kids, nobody has any idea what it’s been like.”

What self-pitying B.S. Izzo the victim. I’m just heartbroken at what this poor guy has had to put up with this year. Not.

Izzo is certainly showing that he will stop at nothing to protect the program (ie his image and "stature").

I stated this earlier and I am growing more comfortable with my theroy and timeline....

1995 - Young aspiring coach gets a dream gig at his dream school after 12 years of tutalge under a successful coach.  Program is in good standing and is solid.  The in state recruiting is a positive (a talent rich state), and the main rival school is under serious NCAA investigation / potential sanctions....

1995 - 2000 - Young coach works his butt off, recruits successfully in state with little to no competition, builds the program that reaches the summit (2000 NCAA champs).  He is clean as clean can be, he runs a tight program based upon effort, hustle, teamwork, and chemistry.

2001 - 2010 - Continued success, (4 more Final Fours 2 more regular season titles), but in 2007, main rival hires a new coach, santions are lifting.  At first this is viewed as nothing more than another pawn for the great Izzo to steamroll over and with 5-1 record in the first 3 years, it certainly appears this way.

2011 - Main rival beats Izzo twice, the start of a 2-6 record against their main rival.

2012 & 2013 - along with the 2-4 mark against his main rival these years, that rival wins the Big Ten and goes to the National Title game (only to get robbed by the refs - its STILL a clean block!).  No level of same success from MSU and some unusal early exits in the NCAA....  Sparty Fanbase is not worried, Izzo is extremely confident that he is about to sign the next "great" recruit (Okafor).  Okafor certainly will take Sparty over the top and lead them back to the Final Four and National Title.........Okafor signs with Duke..........., Izzo quotes (paraphasing) "We need to start recruiting the '1 and done' type players to be able to compete for Final Fours again......  THIS IS THE POINT IN TIME HE WENT DARK>>>>>>>> HE LITERALLY SOLD HIS SOUL TO THE DEVIL TO START CHEATING TO GET WHAT HE BELIEVES IS THE ELITE LEVEL TALENT TO COMPETE AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL......

2014 - Present - 1 Final Four (2015), 2 Tourney title, 1 Regular Season Title (with a heavily skewed schedule)...................

and 3 early exits in a row in the NCAA..........

and now 3 losses in a row to the main rival by double digits...........

A FBI investigation that is now associating Sparty to the dirty seedy recruiting of college basketball.......

It is clear by now the Sparty's main rival is now a serious threat and has shown sustainability and consistency.  Sparty is not the only show in town now......

So what happens now?  Izzo's statement appears to look like the words of someone who will continue to do anything possible to maintain his / programs image and standing......

The FBI investigation is not over, the NCAA investigation is not over, the AG of Michigan’s investigation is not over. Over 100 lawsuits are still pending, and ESPN uncovered additional facts that they are in the process of investigating. Time will tell how this all is resolved.
