I pledge to end every post I make on this site with Beat State this week. I realize I have no reason to really feel this way, but I want revenge for last year. I continue to take crap about that last play.

Its time...

I started a vacation on Friday in Eastern Europe.  First night at dinner, people were going around the table introducing themselves.  One woman said that she was from southwest Michigan (point to her hand) and my wife shouted, "Oh, Jack went to Michigan."  This lady went off, talking about how horrible our coaches had been, how other college football fans out at the Rose Bowl ("yeah, Rose Bowl -- been there recently?" as she jabbed her finger in the air) hate us, and how she hoped Staee players broke the ankles and arms of our players next week.

An uncomfortable silence descended over the table.   People were really shocked at her vitriol, and many were other college football fans.   A few people later when the introductions got around to me, I ended my introduction by saying that I looked forward to a good game and that I hoped no one got hurt.   I saw her at breakfast this morning after their loss to Maryland and she kept avoiding eye contact.   

I would not be opposed to putting 80 on the board this year.
