It’s time.

No lazy Saturdays anymore. Autumn begins not with a wind, but a kick. Between now and November, week after week will roll through our lives with systematic precision. The rocket has fired and there is no launch abort.

Careers will be defined, glorified, and ruined. Message boards will burn. Coaches praised and coaches criticized.

There will be thousands of plays, thousands of moments. Rep after rep of routine, punctuated by the astonishing and the shocking and the exciting and the soul-crushing.

And we will watch. Because it all matters. Every play could be the one. The disaster that ends a season, or the triumph that defines it.

For a few hours every Saturday, there is only one thing. The world is gone. The game has come.

Football is here.

I'm so excited I cannot sleep, I have to work tomorrow but will be home in time to watch the game and drink beer. The excitement factor is higher since we will be test driving our new offense!

Finally! My long nightmare has finally ended. Game day and a clean report from the neurologist.

Now if I can just remember where I stashed that coke, this might be the best day I've had in a year.

Going to the Game tonight, thanks to the generosity of Joegeo, my 12 year old is hyped for a night game. Wont be pulling into town until 6 though, so alas no tailgating for us. But a wonderful opportunity to spend the evening together doing what we love! GO BLUE! Thanks again for the contest Joegeo!

Waking up on game day in Ann Arbor is awesome. Fall is in the air and it feels like football. I’m going to spend the day touring campus with my son, some pool time at the hotel, and then suit up for game time. Go Blue!
