6-8" is just the start, it's gonna get real this afternoon. (Snow, of course).

Snow Day for the toddler means the weekend starts early.  Taking the little man to breakfast and snow tubing > another day of meaningless virtual meetings. Looking forward to being hunkered in for 3 days with tubing, sledding, smoked wings and ribs, stouts and the super bowl on the menu. Cheers!

Edit: oh yeah, and a couple 4* commits from the new staff is a great way to kickoff a 3 day weekend!

Sitting in the radiation oncology waiting room. Father-in-law is halfway done with his whole brain radiation. Gonna take him for a spin around Belle Isle...should be beautiful with the 3” dusting we got last night. Bunkering down when we get home and finishing a blog post on my music exploits. Hail!

Bought a new Toro last night cuz I am tired of fixing the old Ariens. So now, the new Toro was dripping gas out of the carb all night.  I ain't touching it. Ace came by and picked it up and hopefully will return it before the snow gets too deep. I am sure it is something simple as turning a screw, but I bought a new one so I wouldn't have to. Positively - Absolutely Bang good thoughts to my young Toro.

Ace came by and picked it up...

Ace Anbender does snowblower repair house calls?   This gig economy is getting out of control!

I finally dumped my very old Toro three years ago and purchased a gently used Ariens.  It wasn't a Toro versus Ariens thing, but a convenient opportunity arose to buy a much newer machine.  So far, so good.   I hope your newest Toro chews through snow like butter (and doesn't leak gas!).

I had a 20” Toro CCR for years that ate ice for breakfast, started on the first pull every time. Just give it one extra push of the bulb when priming, keep the gas fresh and a spare spark plug on hand, maybe get a spare belt in a few years- they don’t last forever.  I even ordered a new rubber auger and nylon scraper piece to rebuild it when they wore out after the first 15 years or so, it just ran like a champ.
