We lost last year?

Until they move on from Harbaugh they'll be nothing but disappointing.

Don Brown needs to go this week
October 31st, 2020 at 10:25 PM ^
as difficult as this is...I agree. His defense only confuses his own players. Everyone has it figured out. I will check out now.

I wonder what our coaches all do in their free time
October 31st, 2020 at 3:25 PM ^
He lost his edge when his dad moved back to AA.... Bo jettisoned Jack for a reason. This is the beginning of the end.

Let's start a GoFundMe for Brian to get a liver transplant after he drinks his way through this week's UFR.

Zero pressure. Don Brown taken behind the wood shed.
October 31st, 2020 at 3:26 PM ^
Covid and it being a "strange year" is going to save his job but he should be gone tomorrow morning.

Year 6 and:
- We’re in our 2nd complete tire Fire season
- we can’t throw the ball down the field and haven’t been able to do so during Harbaugh’s entire tenure against teams worth a shit
- we don’t use tempo
- clock management is a joke
- we have no idea what to do offensively if we can’t shove it down the throat of the other team
- Zero clue what to do against teams that can throw the ball
- Program arrogance continues to be omnipresent
- lost 3 out of 5 at home to MSU
- 1-9 in the last two games of the season
Honestly, what the fuck else do you need to see? I know Brian and Seth will run interference come Monday but there’s no logical explanation for this regime to continue any longer.
October 31st, 2020 at 3:27 PM ^
I’ve been critical of the staff for about 3 years now. I was actually impressed with the win last week, but with that said this absolutely a fireable loss if this happens.
Someone would have dig in the archives to find an msu team as big of an underdog as this to come in and win. Sooo much shit talking the last week too.
I’m done until they replace the coach. Going to be interesting how the Harbaugh apologists spin this one.
October 31st, 2020 at 3:28 PM ^
Hire Luke Fickell.
Hire Mark Stoops. His offenses are garbage but they play good defense and the M-Fer can recruit the Midwest, something sorely lacking under Harbuagh.
Hire PJ Fleck. He's a clown too but at least he can fire up his team and get them to play with some zeal.
Hire Mel Tucker away from MSU. He accomplished more in his second game than Harbaugh has accomplished in his six years at Michigan.
Hire back Brady Hoke. At least he won't crush us by failing to live up to high expectations.
Hire anyone. If Harbaugh doesn't get fired before Monday then I'm on board with firing Warde Manuel too.

I'm not saying Jim is perfect, but thank God you're not running the Athletic Department
October 31st, 2020 at 11:42 PM ^
Been paid what 45 million into his 6th year and nowhere near worth the money be real.
October 31st, 2020 at 3:28 PM ^
These coaches and this team is soft as fuck. I can’t wait to hear Jamy Morris rip them Monday afternoon.
October 31st, 2020 at 3:28 PM ^
It doesn't matter who is coaching his program they are stuck in the Bo Schembechler tree of coaches and the Bo Schembechler way. It's age and outdated but nobody cares.
October 31st, 2020 at 3:35 PM ^
This. I assume someone is probably 70+ years when he gets referenced anymore.
October 31st, 2020 at 3:47 PM ^
I don't agree with this. Harbaugh had an amazing resume when he was hired. But for what ever reason, he hasn't been able to find the kind of success a lot of us were expecting.
October 31st, 2020 at 6:09 PM ^
They're gonna have to get either A) a John Beilein type of coach imo. A unique brilliant mind that the fans have to gut through an awful start that will eventually lead to great success
B) a homerun hire. Ex: Sean McVay?
Or C) TOM BRADY
Who says no to option C?
October 31st, 2020 at 3:29 PM ^
Hoping to score a TD so we can be defeated with dignity
October 31st, 2020 at 3:29 PM ^
I’ve defended him but I’m done. Jim is the guy who used to be a superstar at work until he found a cushy position where he’s loved, gets too comfortable and sits on his laureates instead of keeping the grind going. Under Harbaugh this program is never winning a B1G title. He doesn’t have the fire anymore to go after the big dogs. He can’t even prepare his team for State and it freaking shows. Soft as butter. Too bad because I liked Jim but he’s done.
October 31st, 2020 at 4:01 PM ^
this sums up what I'm feeling too. I think you have reflected what a lot of fans think. We used to be a proud program and we all think we still should be, but it's not been that way for a very long time now.
October 31st, 2020 at 3:29 PM ^
Harbaugh needs to let go of the offence

i raked leaves this afternoon. came in a few minutes ago...just in time to watch the end. glad we have an offense that can run the clock out for the W. Too bad it worked when we were trailing. This is truly sad. Honestly....watching minesota last night i felt we were glass jawed. Glad i didnt watch.

It’s unfortunate that the program cannot get fully on track. The game plan was awful today. The coaches were embarrassed by a woeful MSU staff and roster.
October 31st, 2020 at 3:48 PM ^
All of these threads are dumb and full of extreme hot takes.
The reality is we have a "good" coach. The problem is there are plenty of other good coaches, and some really really good ones. This means, barring a miracle, UM will usually win 8-10 games and not be competitive nationally.
October 31st, 2020 at 4:01 PM ^
This is the dumbest comment I have read. We lost to a 5-7 coach that just lost to Rutgers. You are the problem with this fanbase and Alum group.
October 31st, 2020 at 4:19 PM ^
It isn’t just Harbaugh not winning conference titles and being elite like OSU, Clemson , Alabama. It’s that he can’t win a really big game and sucks ass against rivals
October 31st, 2020 at 3:48 PM ^
Alabama, Clemson and OSU play for championships and Michigan plays for fun...and they suck at that. Harbaugh is an overrated disaster. Go back to the NFL. Im rooting for covid to stop the BIG. Another season lost

I've been saying Harbaugh was seriously overrated for at least three years. Great -- take the boys to Europe or South Africa. Big deal. But you have to win, and that includes the big games; without winning, you're—what do they call it—oh right … a loser.
In most business situations I know of—and make no mistake, college football is a business—results matter. Doesn't matter how glib you are; doesn't matter how well-intentioned you are; doesn't matter if you wear khakis or a three-piece suit: if you don't perform, it's hasta la vista, baby.
My thinking is that UMich will keep Harbaugh for as long as he wants to stay because the administration really doesn't want a championship football team. Let the deplorables and chumps down in the South have winning football teams; we're better than that. R-i-i-ight!
