Wasn’t able to post the post for some reason, but if Lawrence was eligible for the draft this year, and you were Cincinnati, who would you take?
December 28th, 2019 at 11:42 PM ^
Lawrence would have been the #1 pick in last year’s draft and he’ll be the top pick next year, so my guess is that he’d go #1 even with Burrow (if he was eligible)

Shea....
I kid... Burrow
December 28th, 2019 at 10:01 PM ^
Burrow unless we are forming an 80's cover band then Lawrence all the way

Lawrence - Burrow had a special season, but has ridiculous weapons and all day to pass. Lawrence is a proven winner with better measurables to boot. Both are awesome, though.
December 28th, 2019 at 10:22 PM ^
You act as if Lawrence doesn't also have amazing weapons on offense. Both have great backs and Lines. Higgins and Chase are amazing #1 options
Burrow threw for 1600 yards more, had a 77% completion rate to Lawrences 68%, 14 more TD, and 2 less INTs
Burrow also did this against much harder defenses than Lawrence cupcake ACC schedule
December 28th, 2019 at 10:29 PM ^
It’s not just the talent around them. Burrow has been throwing dimes. His throws are exactly where the ball needs to be for only his receivers to make plays and he’s smart about going through his progressions and checking down. Plus that accuracy is amazing especially since that offense does take a decent amount of deep shots. Right now I’d take Burrow easy.
December 28th, 2019 at 10:41 PM ^
That's what Im saying. Its seriously mind blowing how accurately he places pass after pass, game after game. You do not see this level of accuracy anywhere. In the NFL he will be challenged more to get rid of the ball quicker but you never saw Brees, Rodgers, or Brady in college with this level of consistent accuracy

Burrow
December 28th, 2019 at 10:05 PM ^
Good question. Burrow has unquestionably looked better this year, but he's also three years older. Good chance that they're both terrific.
I would like this scenario, because it would drop Chase Young to 3rd.
Just have to hold out hope that the Washington front office melts down and decides to give up on Haskins and draft Tua.
December 28th, 2019 at 11:18 PM ^
Just gotta hope the cowboys continue to implode and the skins beat them. Then all the lions have to do is lose, and we all know how good they are at that.
December 28th, 2019 at 10:07 PM ^
Lawrence - guy has incredible upside and he has already won a championship.
December 28th, 2019 at 10:13 PM ^
Lawrence all day.
Hopefully D-Caff is our Lawrence
December 28th, 2019 at 10:20 PM ^
If he was he would already be starting
December 28th, 2019 at 10:21 PM ^
D-Caff would never get up from a hit like the one Trevor took.
December 28th, 2019 at 10:22 PM ^
Keep dreaming, Lawrence is a generational player.
December 28th, 2019 at 10:19 PM ^
People who question Burrows talent: DO YOU WATCH LSU PLAY AT ALL??????
Burrow is arguably the greatest college QB of all time. His accuracy is amazing. He throws perfect ball after perfect ball.
Burrow>>>>>>>Lawrence
December 28th, 2019 at 10:22 PM ^
And to think OSU felt that they had what they needed in Haskins and Tathan and were more than fine letting Burrow leave. Not that OSU would be any different last two years with Burrow instead of Haskins & Fields.
Imagine being in a situation where you could let Joe Burrow walk and still go 26-1 in the following two years smh.
December 28th, 2019 at 10:20 PM ^
If you don't take Burrow at 1st overall...lol..there's no helping you.
December 28th, 2019 at 10:20 PM ^
If you are an NFL team....Win win
December 28th, 2019 at 10:25 PM ^
I think I would take Burrow because of the in-the-pocket escapability, but they're both damn good. Without the benefit of hindsight, it's hard to say one is less perfect than the other.
December 28th, 2019 at 10:25 PM ^
I am unfortunately a Bengals fan. I'd rather have Lawrence if it was an option but I'll be very happy with Burrow.
December 28th, 2019 at 10:25 PM ^
Burrow and it’s not very close
December 28th, 2019 at 10:27 PM ^
Lawrence is the answer. Every time
December 28th, 2019 at 10:33 PM ^
Lawrence should be better eventually but Burrow is better right now.
December 28th, 2019 at 10:38 PM ^
Burrow was dropping dimes all over the field. He’s probably gonna end up being the most accurate passer in NCAA history. Lawrence is fun as hell but I am not sure how anyone could pick him over burrow, especially considering Lawrence probably won’t be galloping all over nfl players
December 28th, 2019 at 10:58 PM ^
Burrow.
Lawrence is also good but Burrow is the best college QB I've seen since Vince Young.
December 28th, 2019 at 11:12 PM ^
Beat College QBs of the past two decades (not beat potential pro QB):
1. Vince Young
2. Tim Tebow
3. Deshaun Watson
4. Cam Newton
5. Johnny Manziel
December 28th, 2019 at 11:21 PM ^
Ah, you best me to this list!
December 28th, 2019 at 11:35 PM ^
Burrow better than all except Vince
December 28th, 2019 at 11:53 PM ^
I will accept him better than most, but Cam and Deshaun Watson absolutely have it over Burrow. Cam took an average Auburn team with a below average coach to a championship.
Deshaun Watson was A+ in two games vs prime Alabama. Something no QB has ever done in the Saban era
December 28th, 2019 at 11:46 PM ^
Tebow is too high and Johnny Football over Lamar Jackson is criminal.
December 28th, 2019 at 11:51 PM ^
Okay, somehow I forgot Lamar. Definitely would put him over Johnny
December 28th, 2019 at 11:10 PM ^
Both.
December 28th, 2019 at 11:11 PM ^
This is a terrible post
December 28th, 2019 at 11:18 PM ^
Burrow >>> Lawrence
December 28th, 2019 at 11:24 PM ^
Seriously Clemson, you put a white dude on Olave? Fucking dumb
December 28th, 2019 at 11:28 PM ^
Olave is beige
December 28th, 2019 at 11:36 PM ^
Lawrence is three years younger than Burrow, won the national championship as a freshman, has a cannon attached to his arm, and had a 65 yard touchdown run in this game.
Burrow has had an incredible year and is deserving to be the #1 pick, but he was a backup QB when he was Lawrence’s age.
Lamar Jackson is going to win the NFL MVP and he’s younger than Joe Burrow.
December 28th, 2019 at 11:43 PM ^
I think Lawrence has the higher ceiling when/if he puts it all together, but it is awfully hard to argue with what Burrow has done.
Get Burrow in the right system with a line that can protect him and I take him.
December 29th, 2019 at 12:02 AM ^
Burrow.
