Huge visit weekend coming up
Michigan is about to have its biggest recruiting weekend of the 2020 cycle so far. Official visits are now in full swing, and a bunch of high-quality prospects (#51, #80, #90, #136, and #160, among others) are heading to Ann Arbor together. A few planned visitors have committed elsewhere recently (Beau Brade to Maryland, Ty Hamilton to OSU, Bangally Kamara to Pitt), but J.J. McCarthy is going to be back in town to recruit the guys still available.
According to the VA Tech fans in my family #136 Powell is no longer visiting?
Yeah, I guess not. He was on my list for probably the last two months...
Yeah I thought he was out, going on another visit with teammates. Lorenz took his crystal ball off Michigan, to cloudy
Sam just mentioned him on WTKA. Not visiting and probably not an option at this time. Maybe because of past injuries, or other things he wouldn't mention but he is longer a priority for the staff.
Seems like Kris Jenkins may be taking his spot on Michigan’s priority board now. We really need some WDEs in this class
I don't think Kris Jenkins is a WDE.
Yeah, he's 6'4", 239 already. 247 lists him as a SDE, and if he's anything like daddy, he'll end up as a DT.
Kenny Mestidor is who they are looking at in place of Powell.
i read powell was at the top of their board, too. oh well... kris jenkins dad was a great player. i wonder why he didn't end up in the state, and instead played at maryland.
That sucks. His film is impressive. Looks explosive.
Def listing of curits coming into A2 this weekend. Hoping for good weather and commitments...
I have no idea what the first half of your comment means, but w/ regard to the good weather and commitments, I +1 you.
I think he was trying to type recruits and forgot the (re)
Recurits?
Def Leapard is coming to AA this weekend. They are playing for the recruits.
Its an outdoor show. We want talented kids to join our team.
Recurits because they have a tendency to recur until they commit and perhaps they decommit or recommit.
Recurits.
What is the country of origin?
Can I get that in a sentence?
Could you repeat the word, please?
Recurits?
Recurits.

Had to PosBang this... just because of the amount of effort necessary to type that over, and over incorrectly.
Following hs recuriting and never heard 'curit' mention.
Suggest looking closely at mgoblog's lexicon...
Serve 'em Omaha Steaks....
...with milk...lots and lots of milk.
Curitin'...just sayin'
I’m getting the feeling that the ‘20 class will be solid-to-good, in the top 10-20 range, but the ‘21 class will be superb; possibly Harbaugh’s best yet.
Isn’t eammon Dennis visiting this weekend?
No, he thinks we should fire Bakich first.
Seconded. A B1G title and CFP appearance would probably put us in good shape for an epic class. Let's get it done this year, boys!
Well it is the first weekend of summer, fergodsakes.
Any ideas for strange recruiting tricks Harbaugh can use to snag some guaranteed future NFL talent?
Nothing strange needed. Money and girls, right Laquon?
The promise of meeting Ann Arbor...face to face?
Hint: See "Should Harbaugh Use This Strange Trick to Recruit?" thread immediately before this one.
Juuuuuust a bit outside
Well, I would say outdoor activities, but between the rain and the mosquito menace that has resulted from the rain and all the standing water in SE Michigan, that would provide some less-than-pleasant memories, I am sure.
I would love to get a commit this weekend.
Also Magnus, Under Elijah Gaines it says DE Elijah Gaines used to go there. I think you meant DE Luigi Vilain used to go there
Thanks.
Any relation to Al Unser?
Wonder what the reason behind Powell and Michigan trending apart is? He was my favorite DE recruit by far.
Doubt about the health of his shoulder, most likely.
appears to be a high chance of 1 or 2 commitments.
Basically a list of recruits who will say UM was their #2 choice on signing day. Seems like that's how it usually works.
I’m not sure if you’re aware, but Michigan had the #1 class in the Big Ten and #8 overall in 2019.
Yep, harbaugh has had 1 top 5 class, 3 top 10 classes in 4 years. (#5 in 2017, #8 in 2016, #8 in 2019). Small class was #22 in 2018.
I would guess this years class will come in around #15. I would also guess next years class will come in around #5.
Yea. I'd guess you have aliases...and will be roundly hated around here quickly. I play golf, exercise regularly, chase after my wife as much as she allows and cart my kids around at their whim. You might try doing other things too, just for the health of it.
Good for you.
i think you're thinking of basketball
Hey, Magnus. Not following recruiting much these days--which of these guys do you think we are in the driver's seat for? Awhile back I gathered we were ahead for Gentry, but that seems like it's not the case anymore? Thanks.
not magnus but of the guys visiting this weekend I would say we are for sure in the drivers seat for Dennis, Corum, Morant, Moten and Mohan. I'd like to say Henning but Georgia is involved so ya. I believe BYU is ahead for Gentry at this point.
They've made getting mo Mos a priority
