and then bama putting up 70 on us? no thanks

We're still hurting terribly from last week, but after a fair amount of analysis, I'm not convinced that we wouldn't have won a rematch today if the B1G did "2 best teams" instead of division winners (a la Big 12).
How much reading of the various analyses have you done this week? Especially with a month for Chase, Rashan, and Aubrey to heal up, I think we would get to Tua, stuff Alabama, and make a game of it.
Also, one of the best parts of making the championship game would have been a bunch of extra practices.
Bottom line: I don't think there's *really* a way, but if I had to choose between in the CFP or not in the CFP, I'd choose in AND WIN!
GO BLUE FOREVER!
December 1st, 2018 at 1:09 PM ^
I was wondering about the practices...is it indeed true that more practices are allotted for this past week for being in a CSG? Or was M practicing this week? I assumed just being in a bowl game was the measuring stick for extra practices at this time of year. Not disputing you because I don't know, just asking.

Fans care about winning; athletes want to play. I imagine if you asked Jimmy he'd say he'd like a chance to see how they measured up.
Plus revenue!
December 1st, 2018 at 2:20 PM ^
We don’t have to worry about, no chance for us getting in. Go Oklahoma, take that last spot. Fuck Ohio State. Fuck em

Boomer Sooner!!!
December 1st, 2018 at 2:26 PM ^
Yes. Let just move on to a big bowl game and try to win that now. We had our chance and lost it
December 1st, 2018 at 3:30 PM ^
How is this comment about not wanting to go to the playoff upvoted so much ? Sometimes I hate this board

December 1st, 2018 at 1:28 PM ^
But that won’t stop the next OP from asking here.
December 1st, 2018 at 3:35 PM ^
I think this is the 12th time I've seen this post. While that would usually be annoying as hell, right now it seems like it's simply a part of the healing process.
December 1st, 2018 at 12:48 PM ^
No thanks. Michigan over Florida to go 11-2 is more my speed than backing into it like aO$U 2 years ago to get waxed.
December 1st, 2018 at 12:49 PM ^
I want Oklahoma and Northwestern to win...
December 1st, 2018 at 12:50 PM ^
where is the chaos?
December 1st, 2018 at 12:52 PM ^
How do I feel about speculation around statistical improbabilities......
December 1st, 2018 at 12:52 PM ^
That's just the stress talking.

Nothing is fucked here

Nothing is fucked?! The goddamn plane has crashed into the mountain!
December 1st, 2018 at 12:52 PM ^
What will be fun is Clemson, Georgia, Oklahoma winning and see the outrage of Georgia and Alabama both in the final four. It will happen if Georgia wins.
December 1st, 2018 at 12:53 PM ^
I'm all for chaos, just for the sake of chaos. Blow random shit up. Let UCF play Bama. Anarchy
December 1st, 2018 at 12:53 PM ^
Clemson irrelevant. Won’t happen. But, anyone on this board that doesn’t want UM in as 4 seed, even if they back into it is dumb. You make playoff you take it. See how the chips fall when you play Bama. Making playoff good for recruiting.
December 1st, 2018 at 1:29 PM ^
Correct.

I feel that your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could they never stopped to think if they could.

Life uh, finds a way.
December 1st, 2018 at 3:57 PM ^
Ah ah ah. You forgot to say the magic word. Ah ah ah.
December 1st, 2018 at 12:56 PM ^
Not going to happen.
What I don't want is to play Florida. I don't know how a 3 loss team is #9 in the country. Just an uninteresting matchup.
December 1st, 2018 at 1:19 PM ^
Basically- there are a handful of good teams and then a whole mess of mediocrity.
Voters basically think Florida is the best team out of that mess. Not sure I agree (I would probably go with Washington) but any team at #9 would elicit the same response.
December 1st, 2018 at 1:25 PM ^
Agree. Groundhog Day. Made in hell.
December 1st, 2018 at 12:57 PM ^
Regardless of what happens, committee wouldn’t take us.
December 1st, 2018 at 1:02 PM ^
hawt take(s)
-O$U will win by 150
-Oklahoma will choke
-Bama will win by 40
-Clemson pulls the starters at half
you’ll have 1.Bama 2.Clemson 3.ND 4.O$U
Bama waxes OSU, Clemson kills ND.
Bama wins another
Michigan beats Florida and goes 11-2
December 1st, 2018 at 1:09 PM ^
The only thing unexpected here is Texas winning, but looks like that's plausible so far. Good job.
December 1st, 2018 at 1:29 PM ^
The best play for us today is somehow OSU gets to the playoff and Michigan gets the Rose, and it's quite possible if Texas wins and Bama spanks Georgia.
December 1st, 2018 at 1:14 PM ^
If OSU gets into the playoff then Michigan goes to the Rose Bowl against washington
December 1st, 2018 at 1:20 PM ^
That's what I'm hoping for as well. It's the Rose Bowl, it's near my house, and it's a winnable game against Washington which have been fun match ups for us in the past.
December 1st, 2018 at 1:48 PM ^
my bad fellas. I’ll take a Rose Bowl win over a bad Washington team.
December 1st, 2018 at 1:59 PM ^
What makes you so confident that we’d win? Chris Petersen is a great coach, and while UW doesn’t have the athletes that OSU has, he’s more than capable of putting his team in position to expose Michigan's weaknesses.
Washington is not a bad team by any stretch.
December 1st, 2018 at 3:59 PM ^
everybody is entitled to their own opinion, mine is they’re not that good. Take a look at their schedule this year. They lost to Auburn, Oregon, and Cal (all unranked) and they skimmed by a bunch of shitty Pac-12 teams. Have you watched them play at all?
December 1st, 2018 at 1:03 PM ^
I want Texas to win and then probably OSU so we get Rose bowl.
Not interested in either Florida matchup nothing to be gained. Playing a pretty good Washington squad would be interesting and a big game.

This thread again?

Stop!
December 1st, 2018 at 1:13 PM ^
Don't care. Just wanted a B1G Championship.
December 1st, 2018 at 1:14 PM ^
I love me some good cfb chaos but unfortunately it only helps OSU right now. So I'll be rooting for chalk.
December 1st, 2018 at 1:17 PM ^
OSU losing is part of the chaos.
December 1st, 2018 at 3:41 PM ^
Yeah but they are the last game. So if Chaos happens and then they win, which I expect, it helps them.
December 1st, 2018 at 1:17 PM ^
I think 10-3 conference champ Washington would go in ahead of us
December 1st, 2018 at 2:00 PM ^
Zero chance of that happening.
December 1st, 2018 at 1:17 PM ^
There’s zero chance so it doesn’t matter. Osu would have 2 losses and embarrassed Michigan. One of the criteria is head to head. It would be a complete joke if Michigan was placed ahead.
December 1st, 2018 at 1:25 PM ^
I disagree. Head to head matters a lot, yes. But come on , measure the two teams resumes and OSU has one terrible loss and one pretty bad loss. Michigan has one shit game, and it was against a top 10 team. OSU has one already against a terrible opponent. Losing to NW would be too much to stay ahead of Michigan. Head to head takes you a long way, but does not erase two turds worth.
