Un-fucking-believable.

And we beat them back in the Fall exhibition game too.

It was RS Senior transfer from a JUCO Matt Schmidt who hit his first career home run off of possibly the best closer in college baseball.

HEY EVERYONE!!!! GO TO GAMES AT RAY FISHER STADIUM THIS YEAR!!!! The most expensive tickets are $15.

I recommend season tickets.  Even if you can only make half the games, it's still a great value and will give you highest priority if Michigan manages to finish in the top 16 and host a regional.

If instead you're looking for single games to go to, I recommend the Ohio State series on the weekend of April 10-12 or the Nebraska series on April 24-26--both teams will be among the conference favorites.  Also recommended is the non-conference game against Michigan State on the evening of Tuesday, May 5.

The other weekend series are against Canisius (March 13-15), Purdue (March 20-22), Nevada (March 27-29), and Iowa (May 14-16).

Actually, I think Michigan Football is building towards contention. I know it's difficult to be optimistic or even hopeful given the results to date but we've improved in many ways.

We're not as far away from competing as some think.

We have one mountain to climb - Ohio State. If we can scale that mountain, we can play against anyone. Coincidentally, this is the same problem LSU had. The Tigers couldn't overcome Alabama for many years. But LSU beating Alabama legitimized the Tigers this past season and gave them indisputable proof they could beat anyone else.

Great game for the first outing of the year, a few base running blunders and Donovan was crossed up A LOT!  He’s a solid catcher, not indicative of his skills.

Criswell settled into a groove in the middle of the game.

Nwogu is a BEAST!  He hits the ball hard every at bat, long MLB career ahead of him.

Blomgren made some incredible defensive plays.

Nice performances at the plate by Obertop, Burton and schmidt; 2 freshman and a 5th year stepping up big time.

Ahhhh, baseball is back!  Looking forward to opening day at the Fish!
