Hibner to portal

Thought maybe he would get a chance to break through and play next year.  Remember some saying he was the fastest TE on the team.   He was a top 140 prospect but just hasn't shown much I guess when asked to paly TE.

I do not know anything about Hibner's situation but I am under the impression that a larger number of recruits are high ceiling low floor types and not everyone develops the same.

It has been known for a long time he was transferring. He decided to sit this year, preserve use his redshirt, and transfer out somewhere ge can get playing time.

They played him in the playoffs because it doesn't count towards redshirting.

He was ranked #134 to 247 and #400 on the composite.

Between Klein (the guy I believe the fastest TE quote is about), our two sophomore TEs and amazing freshman duo, we should be fine. Although if another AJ Barner exists you take them.

*edit to add: Dark Horse is Beetham who got some hype last year.

This was expected.  I wasn't even including him on my depth charts, apparently he knew pretty early on the season that he would transfer after the season.  Props to Hibner, he did everything we asked and now he's a champion.

I'd also expect to see more 2 RB sets to displace a bit of our 2 TE sets.  I want more of Mullings/Hall on the field with Donovan Edwards  Every single time Mullings was asked to lead block, he bulldozed people out of way.  If we're still breaking down position groups into "Tight Ends and Friends", I'd like Mullings to be used as a lead blocker enough to get a cameo in that section.
