The OH recruiting pipeline is opening up again. I'm sure others will complain that he is only a 3 star and that OSU was never interested in him. I hope one day he catches the winning TD pass against OSU!

Going for the msu idea of building a team of guys upset they weren’t good enough for bigger schools. It works like once every 3 decades so why not. When I think beating osu I think looking more like Boston college and Cincinnati is the way to do it

I happen to agree that the recruiting isn’t good enough - I also think Harbaugh moves on in the semi near future after never beating OSU. However, “Brian Cook thinks” is the most pathetic bullshit way to support your point of view.

Brian Cook also thinks Harbaugh has CTE because he’s a mediocre shell of his former self.

What you claim I said: "Brian Cook thinks..."

What I actually said: "In the words of Brian Cook..."

Don't need to hide behind his opinion to convey my own, but we are in agreement here. Recruiting is at rich rod levels in year 6. We've gone from climbing trees and sleep overs to taking generic 3 stars and kids with no power 5 offer. OSU is shopping at Barney's and we're in the clearance section at TJ Max.

And he's making 8 million a year to do so. Let that sink in everyone.

You are clearly the previous Berns account. My question: What is your goal in making the some comment over and over, when people have agreed with you and recognize the recruiting issue? What would you like to see from the forum posters? Or is the goal simply to antagonize?

This kid may not have an osu offer yet, but he’s definitely on their radar and someone they may go after late in the cycle.

I’m excited we were able to land him and I like the idea of having a team loaded with guys who have a chip on their shoulder, who want nothing more than to beat osu and show them they made a mistake.

There hasn't been any talk of OSU getting in on him in any of the OSU recruiting coverage. The talk moreso is if we have enough room to keep taking WRs, with Egbuka and Stellato being the only must-takes. Right now, Egbuka is trending OSU and Stellato is trending Clemson, and most recruiting analysts seems it'll end that way.

If OSU were to try to get in on any in-state WR, it would be Lorenzo Styles Jr, given how long OSU recruited him, the fact he is a legacy player, and he's extremely close with Jack Sawyer (for the record, I don't think they will).

As for Markus, congratulations young man!

Well, if he was a 5 Star I would be bitching that our 5 star recruits almost always disappoint...so...what the Hell...WELCOME Young man!!!

I pray you get a QB that can hit wide open receivers consistently and an offensive game plan that will throw the ball more that 15 times a game.

As opposed to all the three stars who are killing it. Ray Vinopal is so much better than Dax Hill it's not even funny. Gimme Jaron Dukes over David Terrell everyday. Brandon Graham couldn't hold Gabe Newburg's jock strap. Give me John O Korn over Chad Henne twice on Sunday. Wait I think Jabrill Peppers is actually worse at football than insert generic three star recruit.

He's honoring people he loved, at a time when he's making a very meaningful life decision for himself.  He feels these people would have been proud of what is a very extraordinary accomplishment.  It hardly seems like a time to look for some dur hurr message board upvotes.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but you probably haven't lost someone really close to you.  If you have, you need to just step out of sport blog lol for a moment and put yourself in this kid's shoes.  This commitment video makes complete sense to me, it's excellent.

I found it to be mature and really touching.  No I don't need to relax

I like this pick up. We already have a lot of smaller, speedy, slot type guys, but we've kinda been neglecting getting some bigger possession type, red zone target receivers. Allen is not gonna burn anyone, but he's gonna run good routes, hight point the ball, and have good hands even in traffic

Now Michigan's top 6 recruits on 247 are offensive players while the bottom 4 are defensive.

What is going on?

FUN FACT(s)

Mr Allen would be the #1 rated recruit if he were in MSU's class (of 8) at this point.

Ja'Den McBurrows would be #2 on their current list - even though he is a "lower-end" 3-star by your definitions.

On Topic - Congrats Markus!!  you have just made a lifetime great decision.
