Hello: PWO Andrew Vastardis

Submitted by MGoUP on

Andrew has decommited from Old Dominion and will accept a Perferred Walk On position at Michigan.  He is a 6' 4" 310lb guard who had an offer to Northwestern.  Always take chances on these type of players.

It's always good to get one mean Vastard for the O line.

Edit: just watched highlight film.  He puts defenders on roller skates.  Welcome to Michigan Andrew.  Go Blue!

So its possible to accept a Preffered Walk On offer despite holding a scholarship elsewhere and not be offended!

thatd be amazing - obviously any player even approaching the glasgows impact as walkons would be significant.  unfortunately glasgow has slightly better feet than this kid.  drevno and crew will certainly work on his footwork and technique but hes a ways off especially in pass pro.

congrats to the dude though, im sure hell find a role on the team and in that locker room and hopefully he has a great 4 years at m

I don't think he'll fit in Beilein's motion offense, but if he grows 5-8 inches I could see him fitting at center.

This is quite a coup for Michigan. I just can't fathom, though, having an offfer from Northwestern and choosing Old Dominion; then going the PWO route at Michigan.
