Wow! A second Darian Roseboro in one day!
August 29th, 2014 at 2:56 PM ^
Well, if there was a better way for Michigan to slide into its first football weekend, I would like to know what it is. Picking up another highly-touted recruit is definitely an excellent start, a nice addition to the 2015 class. Welcome to Michigan, Darian Roseboro!

I would add a big Michigan win and a loss for OSU to Navy.

I don't think it is dumb. I get where you coming from (sort of), but I am going to cheer for our number 1 rival to loose to the MIDN. Why? Because OSU is our number one rival, I have a Marine in my command who played for Navy, and I am Marine, so I only see a OSU loss as a positive. Also, considering that Navy has a very solid team this year and it is being played at a neutral field makes me think that it won't be too bad of a loss OSU. That is unless Navy blows out OSU.
August 29th, 2014 at 6:22 PM ^
that should Michigan pull out the longshot and go 13-0 that will be proof of how badly the B1G sucks because they beat both OSU and MSU?

Nice. Good news to come home to.
Go Blue.

It's going to be interesting to see where he plays. I think he's a strongside defensive end if Michigan goes back to the Under next year, but a 3-Tech all the way if they stick with the Over.
August 29th, 2014 at 3:07 PM ^
Sounds logical. Can't see him RS at his size and our needs next year at end. Eventually move inside as a JR SR maybe. Depends on his weight - he looks very lean for 280ish.
August 29th, 2014 at 3:10 PM ^
And he's enrolling early too. I agree, I think with his combination of strength, size, and the fact that he'll have 6 months in the program, he'll definitely feature somewhere in the rotation next year.

We've got Mario O on one side and I assume Marshall behind him in 2015. Poggi and Charlton on the other.
Poggi still might end up a DT at some point but with Hand and Malik whiffs last year we needed this one, and still could use 1 more to rebuild depth. I'd probably take another 2 in 2016 if we can get top end DE types. Charlton will already be a JR in 2015 and Mario a SR.

Our class is really shaping up to be something special. Hopefully we can snag KLS as well and have some more studs on the DLine.

Yay! Great job Coach Manning! Welcome to Michigan, Darian! See you in January, looks like!
August 29th, 2014 at 3:06 PM ^
even on the eve of a new season. What great news! Michigan just got a commitment from the the third best player in the state of North Carolina, and beating out all the ACC schools in the state to get him. That says a lot.

Coach Manning strikes again. Great pick up! Kid is a beast!

Next year's class will also be under 25 assuming there is no attrition.
August 29th, 2014 at 3:24 PM ^
Don't believe so, because this staff has done such a good job of keeping players in the program and the 2012 and 2013 classes were huge. If check the depth chart by class you'll see that there are only 16 juniors on the team which will keep the class from being huge. Should probably hit 20 though because you always have some departures.

Quality over Quantity. Props to Coach Manning for recruiting his butt off since coming back to Michigan! Darian Roseboro provides quality depth/ and immediate impact to a position of need. This just adds to how great this Long Weekend will be.

Been listening to the recruiting roundup on WTKA every morning this week and it seemed like Sam Webb definitely knew something he couldn't divulge. Still, I admit to being nervous. This seems to be a major win on the recruiting trail and I think we'll like this guy a lot!

Mr Roseboro! We are waiting with open doors!
This is a super sweet way to begin the season. I was a little worried about the "distance could be a factor" but I think he made the best choice, long term. I was suitably impressed by his ability to bum rush double teams in the .gif that ran a few weeks back.
...add some KLS and Mattison is going to don the swag glasses once again! 8-)

Darian Roseboro to #Michigan! Just had a # gut feeling about it! ;)

Also, the guy below on Twitter claims to be the source for rumors about a last-minute change in Roseboro's decision:
