Hate Week (1000 things you hate about Ohio State)

I hate that they never seem to have an "insider" or "staffer" turncoat and spill the beans on what happens inside The Woody Hayes Athletic building like Michigan always seems to have inside Schembechler Hall. They only seem to hire Buckeye Cultists, and yes, it's a cult.

Their Stepbrothers relationship with Michigan State.  OSU abuses them every year but somehow they stay best buds. 

The truck stop gas station smell. 

AS OF A MONTH AGO …. EVERYTHING KNOWN TO MANKIND !!! 

When I was a kid I absolutely hated Woody Hayes. From the first time I saw him, he gave me the impression of being a loud-mouthed, obnoxious, bullying piece of shit - and therefore, the perfect face for that sewer down south.

50-plus years after that first impression, I've never needed another.

Fuck ohio.

Their inferiority complex summarized in one word:   THE

one of those ohio state "superfans" is a jerk and allegedly charges for people to take a picture with him. Screw him. I get being a superfan fine, we probably have some diehard michigan fans here, but imagine being so self conceited and egotistical that you want to charge fans for your picture.

How they define themselves through us and then do petulant things like crossing out the letter M.  

I hate how Ohio state always seems to get the little extra benefit of doubt with the CFP. 

That they think if they win, it's because they're better than us, but if they lose, there must be some reason other than we're better than them. 

Some actual things I hate about Ohio:

• The Ohio Turnpike is just too damn expensive for an overcrowded and constantly under construction road.
• Columbus is a huge city with absolutely zero redeeming qualities. Even the skyline sucks.
• There is no good route to get from southeast Ohio to northeast Ohio. Any one of 23/33/35 are bad options and there's nothing that consistently good to get from Columbus to I-75 quickly.
• Casey Anthony exists.
• Lebron is one of the best basketball players of all time and I cannot appreciate his greatness because I want him and every Ohio-born Ohio State fan to fall in a thousand-foot sinkhole.
• The coach with an M in his name made crossing out M's a thing. I honestly love the crossing out M's thing. It's a fun rivalry thing. But dude wasn't crossing out Meyer. Get consistent.
• The fact that they won for 2 decades basically non-stop, and still haven't caught up to us in the head-to-head record, but got to act like they were the best thing in the world for a while there.
• I hate that I like Chuck. Damnit Chuck. Quit being so reasonable.
• They have legitimately good things like Cedar Point and Skyline chili and Cincinnati and all the fucking hall of fames.
• We can't ever seem to get a bunch of maize in their sea of red, but they always seem to get a bunch of red in our sea of maize.
• This one time in college (not at UM) I had a very bright and in your face UM hoodie on at a hockey game. They did YMCA, so I'm doing the YMCA thing, and dude in an Ohio State hoodie comes up behind me. I turn around and he times OHIO perfectly with the song, in my face, and the crowd behind me laughed, and I was very embarrassed. But honestly, respect for the timing. Well done you douchebag.

The fact that they have 160k posts about sign gate. Then they follow it up with a burner email tip line. They have the audacity to call us unhinged. This is truly a demented group of folks over there who have dedicated their current existence to further bring us down.

I also hate that they’re concerned for their safety coming to A2 this weekend, yet could give two shits as to how they’ve treated opposing fanbases since the leather helmet.  Now add in that 21 and 22 were only wins because we cheated. Fuk em!

Everything that's happened in the last fifty years -- including the 1973 travesty -- pales in comparison to what they've done -- and caused -- in the last month. That's what I hate the most.

So much so, that I am ready to say to hell with the rivalry and The Game. Screw it.

It's this latest stuff for me. Specifically that osu would go to such lengths to tarnish our program. They are trying to sap the fun out of college football for us as fans. It isn't just about a game and two midwestern state schools with history. Now it is all of this off the field drama. I miss when all that mattered was beating them on the field. Now it feels like Saturday is a referendum on everything these programs are right now. And it is a zero sum game. 

They fetishize (and trademarked) an article of speech.

They constantly remind one another how to spell a four letter word.

This level of critique is too sophisticated for the intellect of their average fan.
