Haskins to long snapper ?

I posted earlier and so enjoyed the thoughtful discussions the board offered back I figured I’d keep the series going.

While Haskins is a decent RB, I see that we lost Cameron Cheeseman to graduation. We’ve a noted hole on the roster at LS.

Harbaugh, in usual fashion, has been recruiting the LS position horribly. It may not seem like a big deal but the team is in dire straits without an elite level LS: you think LSU and OSU have to worry about Long snapping?

Yea, I didn’t think so.

We’ve got plenty of RB’s. What good are our kickers going to be with a LS, though? Thus, by moving Haskins to LS, we are really unlocking 2-3 more players - it’s probably a good move, just in case. Also, I’ve heard that Haskins had some chatter about his skills long snapping.

We could even have a package where he goes in at center, snaps the ball the the QB; that would really throw off the defense and keep them off kilter. Plus, Haskins is a beat - he may surprise some DT’s. Losing Ruiz hurts but with such a versatile option at center, are we maybe better off?

So we should keep Haskins healthy and out of the backfield, unless the other RB’s get injured; if so, he’s good enough that he can probably handle double duty.

What do you guys think?

Yup. Didn't they recreate something similar in Wayne's World? I think I remember Garth warning people about some bad food or something.

I wonder what it actually was. Did a couple people just have a bad trip and blame it on the acid? Assuming it was on paper, it's not like it could have been meth or something. LSD is so potent you couldn't soak a little piece of paper with enough of almost any other drug to have an effect. Uh, that's what my friend tells me anyway.

Two wrongs don't make a right, sir.  Even if one of them was meant in jest.  Kind of feels like you're pouting like a child because you got scolded real good by your parents.

What do I think? I think three of the best quotes I ever read came from Will Rogers, who said:

1. "Never miss a good chance to shut up."

2. "When you find yourself in a hole, stop digging."

3. "Stop being a fucking moron once in a while."

Granted, that last one needs verification. But the point still stands.

These posts remind me of a couple years back where I posted on the broad saying that maybe Eddie McDoom to RB.

You are a complete tool (and in the Troll Cave on my laptop at home).  But McDoom to RB is (was) far more reasonable than Haskins to long snapper.  In fact, it's so much more reasonable it made me take the time to reply to you!

When you feel a wave of self-pitying petulance coming on, it's generally best to not post anything until it passes.

Can Haskins also punt?   A long snapper/punter/RB role would be amazing.  He could snap it to himself and no one would know if it was going to be a punt or a fake-punt run.  He could also run the fumblerooski to himself. I think the OP is onto something.  (Brown acid.)

Makes no sense. Previously, Haskins to LB. Does somebody have a direct pipeline to JH? Has Haskins posted these position changes? Sounds like he's going to be a very player this fall on game day. Things are boring these days so there is good excuse for these Haskins postings.

Okay guys, I've been thinking we should move Will Hart to QB.  Because we could win field position battles by surprise punting on 3rd down.  They wouldn't get a return, can't go wrong.
